2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season – Rounds Nine and Ten Fixture

The AFL has today released the dates and times for Rounds Nine and Ten of the 2021 Toyota AFL Premiership Season.
St Kilda will play host to the Geelong Cats under the Friday night lights as one of three Marvel Stadium games in Round Nine, while the AFL home and away season returns to Launceston for the first time in more than a year as Hawthorn and North Melbourne play at UTAS Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Gold Coast and Brisbane resume their Queensland rivalry with the ‘Q’ Clash scheduled for Metricon Stadium in a Saturday twilight spot, with Port Adelaide hosting Western Bulldogs in a top four clash on Saturday night.
Round Ten will feature a finals re-match to open the round, with the Brisbane Lions hosting reigning Premiers Richmond at the Gabba on the Friday night. Adelaide Crows will host Melbourne at Adelaide Oval in the Saturday twilight game.
AFL Head of Broadcasting and Scheduling Marcus King said Rounds Nine and Ten offered a particularly good spread of competitive matchups.
“We have a few weeks until Rounds Nine and Ten are upon us, but they appear to be a potential nightmare for tipsters,” Mr King said.
“Looking ahead, we plan on releasing Rounds 11 and 12 next week, followed by, subject to any Covid setbacks, a minimum four week block to provide further certainty for clubs and fans.”
