07810 630167 HATHEROP PRIMARY SCHOOL We have enjoyed a smooth start to the new academic year. Mr. Bartholomew has begun his headship and is excited about the years ahead. There was a welcome tea party to introduce him to parents which was attended by many. He feels very welcomed by the school and the local community. Fifteen new reception children are beginning the new year academic year and are settling in very well. It is lovely to see them playing and learning and being looked after by the older pupils. Half of the school hall was lifted during the summer holidays and repaired due to damage to the floorboards. This means that the whole school hall can be used safely. Also, guttering was repaired around the hall. Children are able to collect reward points for behaviour and good work. Each child is allocated into one of three houses. Children are either in Keble, Cook or Farmor house. We are going to find out more about these local people over the coming year. Later in September, we are looking forward to celebrating Harvest at the church and a visit from the Archdeacon.

FOOD HUB AT FARMOR‟S SCHOOL Would you like to buy fresh, local food in Fairford? Would you like to sell your produce at our market? Would you like to get more involved in where your food comes from? Buying local food can be cheaper than supermarkets and could raise money for the school too! We have an opportunity to set up our own social enterprise food hub. We could use an on-line ordering system to buy a wide range of locally-produced food and drink at below retail prices which would be delivered to our school hall for collection and/or delivery to your homes. Suppliers from around the area would have the opportunity to sell their fresh, local produce at our school to people within a 15 mile radius. For more information contact Emma White at Farmor‟s School on 01285 712302. In the meantime, have a look at the food hub website www.stroudco.org.uk
