Special Issue on Marine Geology and Geophysics

Call for Papers The ocean area covers about 71% of the earth’s surface area. It is an important part of the global geological structure and a natural laboratory for modern sedimentation. The seabed is rich in mineral resources and is an important resource base for mankind's future. Therefore, marine geology research has important theoretical and practical significance. The goal of this special issue is to provide a platform for scientists and academicians all over the world to promote, share, and discuss various new issues and developments in the area of Marine Geology and Geophysics.

In this special issue, we intend to invite front-line researchers and authors to submit original research and review articles on exploring Marine Geology and Geophysics. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

 Marine sediments and rocks  The influence of anthropogenic processes on coastal/marine geology  Sea floor spreading and plate tectonics  Geochemistry of marine sediments  Applications to marine geophysics  Geophysical fluid dynamics  Physical oceanography  Submarine mineral resources development
