Witchdoktors, The Witchdoktors - Voodoo Eye - CD & LP - Pre-order Now! May 18, 2016 15:45 BST Bomber Music Presents: WitchDoktors, "Voodoo Eye" - New Album Release - UK Tour Dates If you are a journalist, DJ, radio station, etc. and would like a review copy/download, or more details please contact [email protected] For Fans Of: The Sonics, The Legendary Shack Shakers, MC5, Dr Feelgood, The Hives The Witchdoktorsare legends, almost. Formed in 1986 they have long established themselves as one of the UK’s greatest ever Garage Punk bands. A 5 Year residency at Soho’s 12 Bar Club in London and hundreds of live performances across the country and overseas has seen them rise from underground villains of rock'n'roll to legitimate hoodlums of guitar fuelled chaos! They have shared the stage with many of their own heroes (and influences) such as The Ramones, The Damned, The Cramps, Fleshtones, Revillos, Urban Voodoo Machine, Legendary Shack Shakers, The Germs, Wreckless Eric and many others. View embedded content here Witchdoktors - New Set Of Wheels from Bomber Music Ltd on Vimeo. Produced by Pat Collier (Ruts DC, UK Subs, Wonderstuff, Jesus & Mary Chain) and Tim Palmer (Pearl Jam, David Bowie, H.I.M, Robert Plant) ‘ Voodoo Eye’ sees the band’s songwriting reach a new peak, capturing the true spirit and sonic impact of their live shows and making this hard hitting 4th album a worthy follow-up to 2008’s critically acclaimed ‘$3 Dollar Hooker’ . Lead Guitarist and Vocalist, Planet Andy says, "We put a lot of time, blood, effort and sweat into making this album and now we need to do the same to get it out there and spread the word!" "We're so lucky to get to see and play with so many bands that give 100%, have great tunes and put on a great show! Were part of an exciting live music scene that is being driven further underground by corporate greed and city planners. Look at what happened to The 12 Bar Club for fuks sake. How can that stuff happen, so sad! BUT, we WILL survive in one way or another because what we ALL do is honest! No Pain No Gain The Witchdoktors are: PLANET ANDY: Lead Holler, Gretsch 'n' Gibson Geetars, loud attire BIG T: Gibson 'n' Gretsch Geetars, B.Vox, Gob Iron, shades ZIG C: Fender Precision Bass, scary shouting, shades MR COLFAR: Drum kits. Wild wild wild youth. What they said last time: ‘A fuelled-up cocktail of punk rock 'n' roll attitude with a sassy twang of trash-a- billy, a bitter twist of country attitude, all whizzed up in a fuzzed-out garage!’ Vive Le Rock “Forget the Hives, this is the Sonics for the now generation!!!! ” NME “Loud, fast, trashy Croydon's Witchdoktors owe a couple of spiked beers to everyone from the Cramps to the Seeds” Q Magazine “This is straight down the tunnel Rock'n'roll punk at it's finest. “ Mojo “A full on kicking rocker – a real cocktail of trashy 60’s garage and heads down 70’s punk snarl! Totally terrific!!” – Kerrang! “The most primo slice of garage punk rawk we've heard in years!!” Maximum Rock’n’Roll UK Tour Dates - June 2016 02: The Alley Cat, London ( Release Party) 03: Steamboat Tavern, Ipswich 04: Rifle Club, Portsmouth 09: Prince Albert, Brighton 10: TBC 16: Lady Luck, Canterbury 17: TBC 18: Fighting Cocks, Kingston 23: Owl Sanctuary, Norwich 24: Bournemouth, Anvil Rock Bar 25: Dublin Castle, London The Witchdoktors - Voodoo Eye - CD & LP - Pre-order Now! Exactly a year after his last album, the well-received Construction Time & Demolition, he's back with a new album, Transience. For every song of Wreckless Eric's you remember from his early days on Stiff Records, he's recorded 10 more that you've probably never heard. The early DIY British indie label may have been his entry-level position into the music business, but Eric Goulden didn't stop making music after the novelty of Stiff Records - and his being known as Wreckless Eric - wore off. Forty years on, Goulden is still making insightful music while the original label is but a footnote in music history. On Transience, Eric is joined by friends including acoustic 12-string guitar player Alexander Turnquist, Cheap Trick bassist, Tom Petersson, Amy Rigby on piano and backing TRACK LISTING vocals, jazz horn player Artie Barbato, and on drums Steve Goulding, late of Graham Parker & the Rumour - the first 1. • Friday 11/Saturday 12 April 2014 Programme
FRIDAY 11/SATURDAY 12 APRIL 2014 PROGRAMME TEN YEARS AND COUNTING On the 11th April 2004, myself, Dave and Big Hands put on the first ever TNS gig at The Attic in Manchester. Despite being free, and well flyered, it wasn’t well attended. But it happened. It was the start of something that has now been part of our lives for ten years. I don’t know if anyone expected it to last this long. I doubt any of us really thought about it to be honest. But it’s amazing that after those humble beginnings, TNS is now putting on such an incredible line up, spanning three venues and two days, with part of it just over the road from The Attic. The line-up back in 2004 featured Monkfish, The Blunts and 3DBS Down (who didn’t actually end up playing). It was also the first ever gig for our new band Revenge of the Psychotronic Man. We weren’t supposed to be playing until the day of the gig and at that point we certainly weren’t planning on keeping the band name. It makes it a much better story that we did. It also means that we also get a pretty cool birthday party. Although the gig wasn’t exactly world changing, it did give us the incentive to do it again. We returned to The Attic on the 20th June. This time the line-up featured Revenge of..., Manchester ska legends Harijan, Morning Pizza (who went on to form Pendleton), Circle of Silence and the headliners of this year’s all-dayer, Random Hand.

  • Band Reviews What They Sound Like What They Look Like
Mad Apple Circus is an original blend of horn-fuelled styles, built on Ska/Hip-Hop/Jazz and Latin grooves – nothing but the good stuff. Owing to their unique sound and energetic performances, this hard-hitting humble Bristolian nine-piece have fast become festival favourites and a popular choice among promoters in the UK and Europe. Since bounding into the underground music scene and forging a presence of their own, MAC have been busy sharing stages with some of the industry’s finest. Notable greats include UB40, The Beat, Hypnotic Brass Ensemble, The Skints, Suburban Legends and Hot 8 Brass Band. The launch of their debut Self-Titled album in 2015 saw the band reach new heights. As well as making appearances on local radio shows, their music started receiving airtime across England and abroad and in turn primed the continent for their European tour. Priding themselves as upbeat and what can only be described as an engaging display of jumping musical fusion, the thirst for the Apple’s juice never seems to quench. Already having ticked off slots at a whole host of festivals, last year alone they set crowds alight at Secret Garden Party, Sunrise, BoomTown Fair, Beautiful Days, Symmetry Festival and Glastonbury to mention but a few. With a honed ambition to continually enrich their music all the while remaining true to their core, Mad Apple Circus have unquestionably set about creating their own distinctive sound which is suitable staging itself as BRISTONE!! …Goes well with cloudy cider. Band Reviews ‘Mad Apple Circus prove that although Reggae and Ska may have slipped in popularity over the years, it hasn’t slipped in quality’ - Stencil Magazine ‘If you want to hear good music, check out Mad Apple Circus’ - Mancub (Babyhead) ‘A new band with fresh tunes… I think these guys are on form’ - Chris Demakes (Less Than Jake) ‘An infectious 45 minuets of pumping joyful Ska.

Crossclub v Holešovicích vám to umožní…
