Fund Af Småsommerfugle Fra Danmark I 1988 (Lepidoptera) Fund af småsommerfugle fra Danmark i 1988 (Lepidoptera) Otto Buhl, Per Falck, Ole Karsholt, Knud Larsen & Karsten Schnack Buh!, 0., Falck, P., Karsholt, 0., Larsen, K. & Schnack, K.: Records of Microlepi doptera from Denmark in 1988 (Lepidoptera). Ent. Meddr 58: 33-41. Copenhagen, Denmark, 1990. ISSN 0013-8851. Thisartide reports on interesting Danish Microlepidoptera collected in 1988, and on remarkable records from previous years but not definitive! y identified until now. The classification and nomenelature follow Schnack (1985). Three species are new to the Danish fauna: Leucoptera lotella (Stainton, 1858) (Lyo netiidae ), found as larvae in great numbers on Lotus uliginosus in a wet meadow in C. Jutland; Chianodes Luctuelia (Hiibner, 1793) (Gelechiidae), taken in a light trap in a garden near Copenhagen; and Sophronia chilonella (Treitschke, 1833) (Gelechiidae), found in one of the southern islands of Denmark Hitherta unknown foodplants are reported for Elachista nobilella Zell. (Elachisti dae) and Trachysmia inopiana (H w.) (Tortricidae). Some rare species ofTineidae have been collected in numbers due to a new method o f placing homemade copies ofbird's nests in forests (se e J ens en, 1989). All known specimens from Denmark of Scythris palustris (Zell.) (Scythrididae), re ported from Denmark for the first time in 66 years, and Xystophora pulveratella (HS.) (Gelechiidae) are reported. Any of the authors may be consulted for further information by foreign readers. Correspondance to: Småsommerfuglelisten, Zoologisk Museum, Universitetspar ken 15, DK-2100 København Ø, Danmark. Beitrag (Insecta: Lepidoptera) aus der Arbeitsgemeinschaft Microlepidoptera in Bayern (mit Beiträgen von Georg Derra [GD], Gerald Fuchs [GF], Rudi Keller [RK], Peter Lichtmannecker [PL] und Werner Wolf [WW]) Abstract: 13 records of remarkable microlepidoptera from Bavaria are given, including the first german record of Gracillaria loriolella Frey, 1881 and the first bavarian record of Scrobipalpa ocellatella (Boyd, 1858). Many new species, even within well-investigated species groups, have been discovered based initially on differences in DNA barcodes. We barcoded 437 collection Published specimens belonging to 40 pre-identified Palearctic species of the Elachista bifasciella group of moths 9 October 2013 (Lepidoptera, Elachistidae). Although the study group has been a subject of several careful morphological taxonomic examinations, an unexpectedly high number of previously undetected putative species is revealed, resulting in a 34% rise in species number in the study area. The validity of putative new species was subsequently supported with diagnostic morphological traits. We show that DNA barcodes provide a Correspondence and powerful method of detecting potential new species even in taxonomic groups and geographic areas that requests for materials have previously been under considerable morphological taxonomic scrutiny. should be addressed to M.M. Beiträge zur bayerischen Entomofaunistik 2: 141–153, Bamberg (1997), ISSN 1430-015X Zum Stand der Erforschung der Gelechiidae-Fauna Bayerns (Insecta: Lepidoptera) von H P Abstract: Since the publication of the first check-list of Bavarian microlepidoptera in 1987, faunistic and taxonomic studies on the familiy Gelechiidae have been advanced. Here, all Gelechiidae genera of Bavaria are enlisted according to £The Lepidoptera of Europe¥ (K & R, 1996). Misidentified specimens in collections and earlier faunistic papers have been veri- fied. At present, 212 species are known. Notes on 27 species of peculiar interest are given, 10 of which are new for Bavaria: Monochroa ferrea (F), Eulamprotes cf. plumbella (H), Stenolechiodes pseudogernmellus E, Telelodes aenig- ma S, Qelechia basipunctella H-S, Psoricoptera speciosella T, Athrips rancidella (H-S- ), Phthorimaea operculella (Z), Caryocolum repentis H & L, Syncopacma incognitana G. Einführung Im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen Familien, die den sog.

Ecosphere 7 ( 5 ): e01344 . 10.1002/ecs2.1344 Abstract . Large- scale oil spills can have adverse eff ects on biodiversity in coastal areas where maritime oil transportation is intense. In this article we conducted a spatial risk assessment to study the risk that potential tanker accidents pose to threatened habitat types and species living in the northern Baltic Sea, which has witnessed a rapid increase in maritime oil transportation within the past two decades. We ap- plied a probabilistic method, which combines three components: a Bayesian network describing tanker accidents and uncertainties related to them, probabilistic maps showing the movement of oil, and a data- base of threatened species and habitats in the area. The results suggest that spatial risk posed by oil spills varies across the area, and does not correspond, for example, to the frequency of accidents in a given area. The relative risk is highest for seashore meadows, which is important to take into account when managing these habitats.
