INVITATION TO BID Sealed tenders are invited from the contractors registered with Pakistan Engineering Council / Pak PWD under relevant Category & field of specialization, on percentage rates basis on Pak PWD Schedule of Rates 2012, who possess valid renewal with Pakistan Engineering Council / Pak PWD for 2020-21. Tender documents can be received from the office of the undersigned during office hours on any working day upto 17th June 2021 with written request on letter accompanied with attested copy of CNIC, Income Tax Registration Certificate as active taxpayer (filer) and copy of valid registration of Pakistan Engineering Council / Pak PWD under relevant category. Tenders will be issued to the proprietor of the Firm / Company or their legally authorized representatives having registered power of attorney (duly attested). The tenders in sealed cover should be dropped in the tender box kept in the office of undersigned on 18th June 2021 upto 12:00 noon. The respective tenders will be opened on the same day at 12:30 p.m., in the presence of contractors or their authorized representatives, having registered power of attorney. Other terms and conditions can be seen in the office of the undersigned during office hours on any working day. TERMS & CONDITIONS 1) No tender will be sold / issued on the date of opening of tenders and in case of public holiday, the receipt and opening of tenders will be the next working day. 2) No tender will be issued / received through post, telegraph or e-mail. 3) According to PPRA Rule-25, Bid security @ 4% of estimated cost in the shape of a bank instrument from the Firm / Company’s own account any Schedule Bank of Pakistan in the name of the Executive Engineer, Central Civil Division, Pak PWD, Karachi. No tender will be entertained without bid security @ 4% of bid price or less amount. 4) Tenders can be purchased on the prescribed cost (non-refundable) in the shape of Pay Order mentioned against the below noted work from the office of the undersigned during office hours upto 17th June 2021 before the date of opening of tenders. 5) Tender Notice is also available at PPRA website (www.ppra.org.pk) 6) Under Rule 33(1) of Public Procurement Rules, 2004 the competent authority reserves the right to reject all bids or proposals at any time prior to the acceptance of bid or proposal 7) The submission of tenders by the contractor implies that he is fully conversant with the site of work, scope of work and terms and conditions as laid down in the tender documents. In Khuzdar Tourist point Chatok more than 100 persons went for picnic from different places, all are stuck at different places due to heavy rain and flood situation from last two days, their lives are on risk as they don’t have enough food for survival.

Karachi is recognized and valued for its enormous diversity that it represents. With its cultural cross section, it truly represents Pakistan in terms of its ethnic as well as cultural cross section in a unique urbane scenario. The range of dynamics and dimensions that governs this true Megapolise is more complex, than any one city can present. However, this diversity is the strength of the city. Ironically the true potential of Karachi has never been realized, for various reasons mentioned in this Master Plan. The plan suggests the strategies to enhance the quality of life for Karachities, as well as bring equity in living standards, provision of services consistent throughout the city. The strategies, if implemented, will bring synchronization to the urban fabric of city of Karachi. It has been appreciated that, due to neglect, and inaction, the city has lost its flair and its title as the “Queen of the East” . To regain the national and international prestige, which the city deserve, an overall strategic framework is been proposed, which is flexible enough to adopt to ever changing needs of the city, while comprehensive enough to be implemented as it is. The plan proposes a holistic approach towards improvements, specifically pro-poor polices, suggested changes in the approach to make it more conforming to the ground realities.
