INVITATION TO BID Sealed tenders are invited from the contractors registered with Pakistan Engineering Council / Pak PWD under relevant Category & field of specialization, on percentage rates basis on Pak PWD Schedule of Rates 2012, who possess valid renewal with Pakistan Engineering Council / Pak PWD for 2020-21. Tender documents can be received from the office of the undersigned during office hours on any working day upto 21st June 2021 with written request on letter accompanied with attested copy of CNIC, Income Tax Registration Certificate as active taxpayer (filer) and copy of valid registration of Pakistan Engineering Council / Pak PWD under relevant category. Tenders will be issued to the proprietor of the Firm / Company or their legally authorized representatives having registered power of attorney (duly attested). The tenders in sealed cover should be dropped in the tender box kept in the office of undersigned on 22nd June 2021 upto 12:00 noon. The respective tenders will be opened on the same day at 12:30 p.m., in the presence of contractors or their authorized representatives, having registered power of attorney. Other terms and conditions can be seen in the office of the undersigned during office hours on any working day. TERMS & CONDITIONS 1) No tender will be sold / issued on the date of opening of tenders and in case of public holiday, the receipt and opening of tenders will be the next working day. 2) No tender will be issued / received through post, telegraph or e-mail. 3) According to PPRA Rule-25, Bid security @ 4% of estimated cost in the shape of a bank instrument from the Firm / Company’s own account any Schedule Bank of Pakistan in the name of the Executive Engineer, Central Civil Division, Pak PWD, Karachi. The deceased was struck by seven bullets in different parts of the body. Nine bullet shells of a 9mm pistol were recovered from the scene of the crime. According to police, the deceased was called to the location through a phone call. They said the late KMC employee was on his motorcycle waiting for someone. Two unidentified men killed him by opening fire at him at Hussainabad, near Okhai Memon Masjid, in the limits of Azizabad police station. The deceased, identified as Shakeel Ahmed, aged 35, son of Shafiq Ahmed, was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities. He was a resident of house no. L-72 Sector 5C 4, North Karachi, and worked as a clerk in KMC‘s engineering department. Rangers and police officials reached the scene after receiving information of the incident. They recovered nine bullet shells of a 9mm pistol and have begun investigating the incident. According to Azizabad DSP Shaukat Raza, someone had phoned and summoned the deceased to Hussainabad, near Okhai Memon Masjid.

The Board is committed to ensure that requirements of the Code of Corporate Governance set by the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan are fully met. The Bank has adopted corporate governance practice and the directors are pleased to inform that: • The financial statements prepared by the management of the Bank presents a true and fair view of the state of its affairs, operational results, cash flows and changes in equity. • Proper books of accounts of the company have been maintained. • Appropriate accounting policies have been consistently applied in preparation of financial statements, except for change in accounting policy as disclosed in note 4.14 of Group’s annual financial statements. This policy has been changed pursuant to a circular number 06-2006 dated June 19, 2006 issued by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan which requires that all declarations of dividends to holders of equity instruments including declaration of bonus issues and other appropriations except appropriations which are required by law after the balance sheet date, should not be recognized as liabilities or change in reserves at the balance sheet date. Previously all declarations of dividend to holders of equity instruments and transfers to reserves relating to profit for the year although declared subsequent to year end, were accounted for in the year to which those related. This change has been applied retrospectively and comparatives have been restated.

    Weekly Bulletin Epidemiological Disease early warning system and response in Pakistan Volume 2, Issue 49, Monday 12 December, 2011 Highlights Priority diseases under surveillance Epidemiological week no. 49 (2 to 8 December, 2011) in DEWS • 83 districts and 2 agencies provided surveillance data to the DEWS this week from Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP) 2,867 health facilities. Data from mobile teams is reported through sponsoring BHU or Acute Jaundice Syndrome (AJS) RHC. Acute Respiratory Infections • A total of 706,484 consultations were reported through DEWS of which 191,866 (Upper and Lower) (ARI) (27%) were acute respiratory infections (ARI); 58,331 (8%) were Skin disease; 52,347 Acute Watery Diarrhoea (AWD)/ (7%) were acute diarrhoea; and 47,750 (7%) were suspected malaria. Suspected Cholera • A total of 94 alerts with 14 outbreaks were reported in week‐49, 2011: Altogether Acute Bloody Diarrhoea (BD) 31 alerts for Measles; 12 each for AWD and Neonatal tetanus; 8 for Leishmaniasis, 6 for Other Acute Diarrhoeas (AD) Pertussis, 3 for Malaria, 2 for Bloody diarrhoea; and 1 for Acute Jaundice Syndrome; while 19 for others non‐communicable diseases. Suspected Viral Hemorrhagic Fever (VHF) • In this week six new type‐1 polio cases were confirmed by the laboratory, including Suspected Malaria (Mal) one each from Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FR Bannu) & Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Suspected Measles (MS) (Kohat district); and four from Balochistan (Killa Abdullah, Killa Saifullah, Pishin and Harnai districts). As of 12th December, Pakistan has reported a total of 173 polio cases Suspected Meningitis (MG) (171 type‐1 & 2 type‐3) from 56 districts/towns/tribal agencies & areas.
