Past Commodores Riss, Hardy, Hess and Rice were in attendance. Commodore O’Malley announced that this is P/C Hess’ 31st change of watch

Officers Reports

Past Commodore Rice—thanked FCYC for the privilege of being first woman Commodore of the FCYC

Commodore O’Malley -thanked everyone for the opportunity to serve

Vice Commodore Williams—introduced travel agents to talk about Commodore’s Cruise, which will be in December to from Miami to smaller Caribbean islands

Rear Commodore Peterson—name tags are in, if you need a new one, please ask Bob during break.

Secretary Ralston-made an appeal for host clubs during the 2021 year Treasurer—financial reports are on seats, Feb income has deferred rev to reflect FCYC club dues, one time expense for on line portal

Committee Reports

Government Affairs— report posted on web site, will also be emailed with full minutes, $2.5b has been set aside in FL budget for water improvement projects, $360m for everglades restoration, worthwhile programs will also be funded, discussion regarding SFWMD board resignations, 1m is available for derelict vessel removal

Brightline discussion re not much going on, further discussion regarding status ensued Fleet Captain East—change has been made to founders award criteria, therefore East Coast clubs now need only to reach 7, west coast is still at 13, info will be emailed soon with some new tools that can be used to calculate mileage.

Fleet Captain West—new three page insert was explained and discussed and new award guidelines were explained and discussed. Directors need to discuss these two items with Club Fleet Captain and Dock master.

Education—Wayne discussed binder and upcoming education session on binder at Marathon meeting

Communications—Government Affairs report will be attached to minutes, goal of communications is to communicate thoroughly. Tom encouraged directors to communicate FCYC activities to their home club

Publications—Commodore O’Malley recognized Jack for his hard work and service, almost out of tri folds and distribution is now only at meetings, some will be printed soon Final inventory of guides were given to directors for free on their chairs, addendum includes three page that are already obsolete,

Membership-one inquiry since last meeting from St. Augustine YC which may or may not qualify. Still no docks but otherwise moving forward.

General meeting 3:02

St. Charles—hosting in July, small club, max capacity of 90 for dinner, may have to limit attendees

Marathon—hosting in May, 3rd weekend, marina has limited capacity also but 25 slips have been reserved at Fara Blanco marina, all reservations should go through Carl, Hyatt and Marriott are within walking distance of club. Tour is limited to 40 people, will be a visit to a turtle hospital.

Halifax—about to expand Tiki building to begin within two weeks, first round on Bill!

Pensacola-New York Americas cup team has picked PYC for training, 48ft foiling mono hull

Smyrna—Lipton Cup is April 5-7
