Jean-Marie Vincent was born in Nancy on March 6, 1934 where he spent his childhood and youth. In the early 1950s he went to Paris and began to study political sciences at Sorbonne. For a short time he was a member of the JEC (Jeunesse Etudiante Chrétienne, Christian Students Youth) before in 1954 he joined the GBL (Groupe Bolchévik-Léniniste, Bolshevik-Leninist Group), a tiny Trotskyist splinter group chiefly consisting of intellectuals who had left (or were expelled from, respectively) the French section of the Fourth International which in 1952/53 suffered a serious factional crisis and split. The GBL was led by Michel Lequenne and from 1955-1956 issued a small paper titled Trotskisme 2. This tiny group of Trotskyist dissidents engaged itself in various regroupment processes on the left, thus for example its members joined the UGS (Union de la Gauche Socialiste, Union of the Socialist Left), and contributed to its paper Tribune marxiste (1957-1960) where Jean-Marie Vincent used his pseudonym Vincent Valette.

    1 MUJER Y MEMORIA OCTUBRE --------------------- 31 DE OCTUBRE JUANA ROUCO BUELA El 31 de octubre de 1969 muere en Buenos Aires (Argentina) la anarcosin- dicalista y propagandista anarcofemi- nista Juana Buela, más conocida como Juana Rouco Buela. Había nacido el 19 de abril de 1889 en Madrid (España). Cuando tenía cuatro años quedó huér- fana de padre, viviendo en la miseria; nunca fue a la escuela. El 24 de julio de 1900 llegó como emigrante en Argen- tina con su madre, donde ya vivía un hermano 10 años mayor que ella, Ci- riaco, y desde muy joven entró a formar parte del movimiento libertario y anar- cosindicalista de la mano de éste, que también lo enseñó a leer y a escribir. En 1904 participó activamente en los actos del Primero de Mayo, que fueron duramente reprimidos, y que acabaron con la vida del fogonero marítimo de 22 años Ocampo. En 1905 asistió, con el apoyo de Fran- cisco Llaqué, secretario del Consejo Federal y redactor del periódico La Protesta, como delegada indirecta en representación de los obreros de la Refinería Argentina de Azúcar de Rosario, entonces en huelga, en el V Congreso de la Federación Obrera de la Región Argentina (FUERA), donde proclamó claramente que la finali- dad de la federación obrera es el comunismo anarquista. En 1907 entra a formar parte, con María Collazo, Virginia Bolten, Marta Neweels- tein, Teresa Caporaletti y otras, del grup creador del primer local libertario de mu- jeres del país («Centro Femenino Anarquista»), que tenía como sede la Sociedad de Resistencia de Conductores de Carros, participa energicament en la Huelga de Inquilinos de aquel año para protestar por la subida de los alquileres y los desalo- jos.

    The search for a libertarian communism: Daniel Guérin and the ‘synthesis’ of marxism and anarchism I have a horror of sects, of compartmentalisation, of people who are separated by virtually 1 nothing and who nevertheless face each other as if across an abyss. – Daniel Guérin Concerned that his reinterpretation of the French Revolution, La Lutte de classes sous la Première République (1946), had been misunderstood, Daniel Guérin wrote to his friend, the socialist Marceau Pivert in 1947 that the book was to be seen as ‘an introduction to a synthesis of anarchism and Marxism-Leninism I would like to write one day.’2 This paper aims to analyze exactly what Guérin meant by this ‘synthesis’, and how and why he came to be convinced of its necessity—for as Alex Callinicos has commented, ‘[g]enuinely innovative syntheses are rare and difficult to arrive at.     Anarchisme français de 1950 à 1970 1 Cédric Guérin Introduction “ Y en a pas un sur cent et pourtant ils existent La plupart fils de rien ou bien fils de si peu Qu’on ne les voit jamais que lorsqu’on a peur d’eux. ” C’est le 10 mai 1968, pendant la nuit des barricades, que Léo Ferré créa sa célèbre chanson “ Les anarchistes ”. Ce couplet traduit dans une certaine mesure la surprise des observateurs attentifs à la renaissance du drapeau noir lors des manifestations et des défilés de Mai. L’antibureaucratisme, l’autogestion, la spontanéité révolutionnaires sont autant de mots qui donnent à la révolte de Mai 1968 un caractère libertaire, et Edgar Morin peut écrire : “ C’est la renaissance intellectuelle de l’anarchisme, teinté de marxisme et de situation-nisme. ” Paradoxalement, c’est un fait acquis que les organisations “ officielles ” ne sont pas ou pratiquement pas intervenues dans les événements, alors que ceux-ci témoignent d’une indéniable présence intellectuelle de l’anarchisme ; même si on peut s’interroger sur la nature de l’anarchisme estudiantin décrit par Morin. Cette apparente contradiction entre l’inaction des organisations et l’explosion des thèmes libertaires détermine dans une large mesure le caractère spécifique de l’anarchisme, révolte à la fois individuelle et collective. Les traits de l’anarchisme sont difficiles à cerner. Ses “ maîtres ” n’ont presque jamais condensé leurs pensées en des traits systématiques. Quand, à l’occasion, ils en ont fait l’essai, ça n’a été qu’en de minces brochures de propagande et de vulgarisation, où n’en affluent que des bribes.

    Comunismo Libertario. Año 1, nº1, Santiago de Chile, 2010 Comunismo Libertario. Año 1, nº1, Santiago de Chile, 2010 Presentación al especial de G. Fontenis, pilar del renacer anarquista en Chile. El pasado 9 de Agosto de este año todos los comunistas libertarios lamentaron la muerte de G. Fontenis. Este icono del anarquismo clasista y combativo se hizo conocido en estas tierras a partir de la publicación de la primera versión en español del Manifiesto Comunista Libertario de 1953, el año 1999 y luego re-editado el 2002. Ambas ediciones fueron iniciativa de la revista Hombre y Sociedad, actualmente existente. El presente especial de “Comunismo Libertario” pretenden rendir un homenaje sincero, acorde al rol que cumplió el pensamiento de G. Fontenis, justamente a raíz de la edición de su texto más conocido y que ha sido, al menos en el caso chileno, fundamental para la reconstrucción de un anarquismo de clase que apuesta a volverse una real alternativa política. Si bien se puede estar de acuerdo o no con su propuesta, su aparición en los reducidos grupos que se articulaban a partir de pequeñas experiencias durante la década de los noventa, generó un necesario debate y demarcó una evidente linea entre los que apostaban a buscar las formas de volver a colocar en el imaginario popular al anarquismo y aquellos que preferían seguir trabajando de forma marginal, siendo incapaces de darle una mayor perspectiva al proyecto histórico del anarquismo y que aún divagan entre el “esteticismo”, el voluntarismo más extremo o la pura buena voluntad. Si bien aún se está lejos de un anarquismo de mayorías, una serie de experiencias han ido sentando las bases que hacen posible ir realizando este ambiciosos proyecto, todo enmarcado en las concepciones básicas que recupera el Manifiesto de Fontenis.

    Alternative Libertaire n°198 Septembre 2010 Georges FONTENIS (1920-2010): une figure internationale du communisme libertaire ... La disparition de notre vieux camarade Georges Fontenis a été accueillie avec beaucoup d'émotion par les militantes et les militants d'Alternative, mais aussi par l’ensemble du courant communisme libertaire internatinal. La semaine de sa disparition, des message d'amitié nous sont parvenus des différents continents, du Chili à la Grèce en passant par l’Italie ou le Canada. Partout, les camarades rendaient hommage à un révolutionnaire qu’ils considèrent comme une référence. Georges, beaucoup d’entre nous l’avaient découvert en lisant ses Mémoires. On y suivait une vie qui, pendant plusieurs décennies, a été intimement lié à celle du mouvement ouvrier et de son courant libertaire. Ce mouvement, Georges en avait partagé les avancées, les reculs et les luttes passionnées. Militant politique, il savait tirer les enseignements des échecs, avec lucidité et franchise, sans se renier ni céder au découragement. Et cela représentait, pour ses camarades, pour nous tous, une certaine leçon d’humanité et de ténacité. Ceux et celles qui l’ont côtoyé dans ses combats en garderont, pour beaucoup, le souvenir d’un camarade chaleureux, bon vivant, doué d’humour et d’une grande droiture. Ce souvenir avive la douleur que nous partageons avec sa compagne Marie-Louise et avec sa famille. Georges Fontenis fut une grande figure. Alternative libertaire et, au delà, le courant communiste libertaire international savent ce qu’ils lui doivent, et c’est pour cette raison que nous rendons hommage à un homme qui, désormais, appartient à l’Histoire.
