Wanneroo took out the 2017-18 WA Premier Cricket T20 Premiership at Fletcher Park, defeating competition powerhouse Claremont-Nedlands in an enthralling CLAREMONT-NEDLANDS encounter. Wanneroo made 6/164 first, with captain Christian Smith top scoring with 43 from only Claremont Nedlands were again the stand out team in the 2017-18 WA Premier Cricket 31 balls. Rianna Carlson was awarded the NT Lord’s Taverners Young NORTHERN TERRITORY Cricketer of the Year after her solid club season for Palmerston Juniors as well as representing the NT as an emerging player at the Australian Country Cricket Championships in 2018. Bradley Schmulian captained the Waratah Cricket Club with a standout season in 2017, earning him the prestigious Ralph Weise Medal and Premier Grade Cricketer of the Year, after scoring 713 runs at 89.12 including three tons. He also excelled with the ball, taking 38 wickets before heading to to pursue his dream of securing a first class contract. On debut in NZ he broke a 136 year old domestic record by scoring a double century, on the back of his great season in Darwin. Schmulian returns each season to the NT to play, coach and captain Waratah and featured in the NT Strike League where he was part of the winning City Cyclones team.
