Re: Package Shipping and City mail

The City’s mail courier will now be available to take packages to Mail Boxes and Parcel Depot (MB&PD) for shipping. MB&PD can ship through US Postal Service, UPS, and FedEx. The only limitation is that the size of the package must be able to fit in the Courier’s vehicle, presently a Ford Crown Victoria.

The sender will need to fill out the attached document and provide a few items to facilitate the shipping: • provide a completed small purchase order • package sealed and labeled • provide senders name and contact phone – for questions that arise at MB&PD and to return documents after shipping • indicate desired shipping company and options

The courier will complete the PO at MB&PD and then return the PO, receipt, and any tracking information to the sender. It will then be the sending Departments responsibility to process the PO the same as any other PO.

This document will be available on CityNET for your future reference City of Burlington, IA Shipping Request
