If you want, you can visit the Verena Gorge, where a hermit is leading a secluded life. Day 2: Solothurn-Meienried, approx.20 km The tour takes you along the river past the stork settlement in Altreu. Today's destination is the charming farm of the Käser family, where you will stay overnight in a straw bed. Nearby is a branch of the old Aarewith an observation tower for bird lovers. Day 3: Meienried-Nidau near Biel, approx.15 km The Aare was tamed in this section with the Nidau-BurenCanal. In the water you can see some power stations and weirs today. You follow the smooth course of the river and reach Lake Biel. There you will setup camp for the night at Nidau harbour and in the evening you can walk to the centre of Biel/Bienne. Day 4: Nidau near Biel/Bienne-Ins, approx.35 km Fields of vegetables dominate the picture in Seeland. Since the correction of the course of the river Aare, this area is known as the granary of the country. You follow the Mittelland route, which takes you along the shores of Lake Biel. Small villages with restaurants and lidos are situated along the way and offer you opportunities for short stops. Day 5: Ins-Murten, approx. 15-30 km It' s up to you whether you take the direct route, or take the scenic route over Mont Vully. Today's destination is the small town of Murten. It still has a well-preserved town wall on which you can walkaround the village. Der freiburgische Teil von Mur gehört zur politischen Gemeinde Mont-Vully, zu der auch noch die Dörfer Môtier, Lugnorre, Joressens, Nant, Praz und Sugiez gehören. Die Gemeinde Mont-Vully zählt etwa 3'800 Einwohner und umfasst eine Fläche von etwa 17.5 km2. Mit einem Steuerfuss von 60% ist die Gemeinde Mont-Vully steuertechnisch sehr interessant. Die „Vuillerains“, wie die Bewohner dieser französisch sprechenden Gegend genannt werden, zeichnen sich durch den warmherzigen und gastfreundlichen Charakter der „romands“ aus. Die Nähe zur Deutschschweiz und sicher auch die Tatsache, dass die französisch sprechenden Kinder, ab Sekundarniveau, die gleiche Schule wie die deutschsprachigen Kinder aus Murten und Umgebung besuchen, haben eine offene und tolerante Lebensart gefördert. Die angenehme Lebenskultur und die wunderbare Kombination von See, Reben und Hügel haben viele Leute aus der Deutschschweiz animiert sich in den malerischen Dörfer am Mont Vully niederzulassen.

Comme le veut la tradition, c’est lors de la première séance suite à l’assermentation des élus par le préfet que le nou- vel exécutif s’est constitué. Les compétences de chacun des conseillers ont permis une répartition des responsabilités et une constitution des dicastères aussi équilibrées qu’attrayantes. Une grande charge de travail est attendue en ce début de législature de la part de chaque conseiller; il faudra garantir la mise en place et l’adaptation des structures de la nouvelle entité.
