    Erstmals Bischofsweihe bei "Christ- Katholischer Kirche" in Deutschland Sie haben sich von den Altkatholiken abgespalten, weil sie gegen die Ordination von Frauen und die Segnung gleichgeschlechtlicher Partnerschaften sind: Jetzt bekommt die "Christ-Katholische Kirche" ihre ersten Bischöfe. Die 2012 in München gegründete "Christ-Katholische Kirche" (CKK) in Deutschland erhält erstmals einen Bischof und einen Weihbischof. Die Weihe, die durch Bischöfe "befreundeter Kirchen" vorgenommen wird, findet am 19. Mai in der Schlossparkhalle im unterfränkischen Urspringen statt. Das teilte die Kirche im oberbayerischen Einsbach mit. Mit diesem Schritt werde die seit sieben Jahren laufende Aufbauphase abgeschlossen. Zum Bischof geweiht wird der bisherige Generalvikar Klaus Mass. Er wurde 1970 in Verden an der Aller geboren und trat nach dem Abitur in den Karmeliterorden ein. Es folgte ein Studium der katholischen Theologie in Würzburg und Rom sowie später auch der altkatholischen Theologie in Bonn. Nach seiner Priesterweihe 2000 war er für die Priesterausbildung der unbeschuhten Karmeliten in Deutschland zuständig. Aufgrund seiner Eheschließung wechselte Mass in die altkatholische Kirche. 2012 wurde der Vater zweier Kinder Generalvikar der neuen CKK. Als Weihbischof ist Thomas Doell vorgesehen. Der Sohn eines Landwirts aus Unterfranken studierte ebenfalls Theologie in Würzburg und trat dann die altkatholische Kirche ein. Er ist verheiratet und Vater zweier erwachsener Kinder. Starke Impulse für Mission und Gemeindeaufbau habe er durch den US- Amerikaner Robert H. Schuller (Hour of Power) erhalten, heißt es. Mass und Doell seien von ersten Synode der Kirche, die im November 2018 in München tagte, in die jeweiligen Ämter gewählt worden. Die CKK lehnt die 1996 bei den Altkatholiken eingeführte Ordination von Frauen zum Priesteramt sowie die seit einigen Jahren praktizierte Segnung von gleichgeschlechtlichen Partnerschaften ab.

    Thoughts about systematic theology in Old Catholic perspective Revd Dr Mattijs Ploeger, Principal and Lecturer in Systematic Theology, Old Catholic Seminary, Utrecht University For the summer school in Old Catholic Theology, Utrecht, July 2014 1. ‘Systematic’ theology The word ‘systematic’ in ‘systematic theology’ refers to its method (methodology). In theology, you can work for example with literary, historical and empirical methods. The systematic method implies a ‘reasonable’ and coherent presentation of, and reflection on, the Christian faith. Systematic theology can be subdivided into three subjects. The core business of a Christian systematic theology is dogmatics. Dogmatics aims at a coherent presentation of the Christian faith. But before you can start with dogmatics, there are ‘first questions’ to be asked. This is done by the discipline called fundamental theology (or, prolegomena). And after the dogmatic presentation of the faith, there are consequences for the Christian life to be considered. This is done by Christian ethics (or, theological ethics). 2. Dogmatics I start with dogmatics, because this is the best known area of systematic theology. Dogmatics is a coherent presentation of the Christian faith. Dogmatics is about the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, the church, the sacrament, etcetera. The word ‘dogmatics’ may ring a negative bell. Dogmatic seems to be a synonym for dull, unimaginative, or even strict. One Dutch dogmatist once wrote: Nowadays the word ‘dogmatics’ seem to refer to ‘authoritarian statements, forced upon people, without a relation to reality’.1 I will come back to this somewhat hilarious definition. Nevertheless, in theological jargon, the word ‘dogmatics’ has a neutral meaning: a presentation of the Christian faith.

Bishop in charge and Suffragan to the Presiding Bishop October 14, 2010 Celebrating Mission 2006 — Now What? Dear People of God, The canon law of The Episcopal Church requires bishops to make an annual Address to their conventions and synods. Two years ago, I decided not to read my annual Address to the 2008 Waterloo Convention of the Convocation. The “Transformed By Stories” method, applied to the Convention as “Telling Our Stories,” seemed to preclude the usual lengthy talk. (My Convention Addresses when read last about forty-five minutes.) Instead, I issued a Pastoral Letter in the form of an Address, to be made available in all our congregations after Convention. As this continues to be quite popular (!), I am repeating for the third year this way of addressing the delegates, by addressing all of you. As always, I am not requiring that your clergy read this to you (for which they are doubtless thankful). Instead, I am directing that this be made widely available to all our over 4,000 members of the churches of the Convocation. Thank you very much for taking the time to read it. We worship in the Anglican Episcopal style and our church is part of the Diocese in Europe, which belongs to the Church of England. Our parish has existed since 1612 and the present church building since 1838.     Matthias Ring wird neuer Bischof der Alt-Katholiken in Deutschland Mannheim, 10.11.2009/APD Der Regensburger alt-katholische Pfarrer Dr. Matthias Ring wurde am 7. November während einer außerordentlichen Bistumssynode in der Schlosskirche zu Mannheim zum neuen alt-katholischen Bischof für Deutschland gewählt. Er erhielt im dritten Wahlgang die erforderliche Dreifünftel-Mehrheit. Der 46-jährige Ring ist Nachfolger des 62-jährigen Joachim Vobbe, der für das Frühjahr 2010 seinen Rücktritt aus Gesundheitsgründen angekündigt hat. Die Weihe des neuen Bischofs ist für März 2010 geplant. Matthias Ring wurde 1963 in Wallenfels (Oberfranken) geboren. Er studierte Theologie in Bamberg und Würzburg. Seit Herbst 1993 betreute er als Pfarrer die alt-katholischen Gemeinden Regensburg und Passau. Ab 1999 nahm er ein Promotionsstudium an der Universität in Bern auf. Zwischen April 2000 und August 2005 war er wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am alt-katholischen Seminar der Universität in Bonn. Parallel wirkte er als Direktor des bischöflichen Seminars. Er promovierte 2006 und ist seit vielen Jahren Chefredakteur der alt-katholischen Monatszeitschrift “Christen heute” sowie Vorsitzender der Finanzkommission des Bistums. Die alt-katholische Kirche in Deutschland entstand im späten 19. Jahrhundert im Zug der Protestbewegung gegen die Entscheidungen des Ersten Vatikanischen Konzils über die päpstliche Unfehlbarkeit und den Jurisdiktionsprimat des Papstes. Später schlossen sich die deutschen Alt-Katholiken der “Utrechter Union” an. Der Name rührt von der alt- katholischen Kirche der Niederlande, wo sich im frühen 18. Jahrhundert im Zug der Jansenisten-Diskussion die von der calvinistischen Obrigkeit unter strenger Aufsicht gehaltenen Katholiken von Rom trennten. In Deutschland gibt es mehr als 20.000 Alt-Katholiken, die von 50 Pfarrer und Pfarrerinnen seelsorglich betreut werden.
