Starting in November, Richard Dine plans to begin a new series of Divrei Torah on Shabbat between Minchah and Ma'ariv (once every couple of months during the regular speaking slot in the Sanctuary) reviewing R. Amnon's insights on Ketuvim (beginning with Tehilim/Psalms). If you would like to add what you have learned from R. Amnon through the years, email [email protected] and he will send you the draft of his talks in advance so you can get your insights included. Torah study is a pillar of our shul and is considered equal to Tefilla in importance among KMS activities. The Education Committee hopes that everyone will find meaningful learning opportunties in the coming year. December 4-5: Yoetzet Halacha Bracha Rutner Helping Those Affected by Recent Acts of Terror in Israel We all feel the pain of the Jewish people as we experience ongoing terror attacks in Israel. Our thoughts and prayers are certainly with the people of Israel during this difficult time. Here are a few things we can do to support our people and beloved homeland in their time of need: 1) There is great power in communal prayer. We as a shul must pray for the well-being of the State of Israel, for the security of its citizens, for the healing of victims of terror both emotionally and physically, and for the safety of the soldiers of the IDF.
