Oct Premiere of cartoon film ‘Yellow Submarine’. 1968
Jan 1, Record shop owner Brian Epstein becomes their manager. Audition for Decca records but are turned down because 1962 ‘guitars are on the way out’.
Oct. ‘Love Me Do’, their first single as The Beatles, 1962 enters the British chart and reaches number 17.
Nov. ‘With The Beatles’ becomes first million-selling 1963 album in Britain.
Feb 11, Recording of their first album, ‘Please Please 1963 Me’, is completed in one day.
No formal announcement is made, but news that The April Beatles have split appears on April 10. The thirteenth and 1970 last album ‘Let it be’ is released on May 8 and the film was premiered in London on May 20.
‘Abbey Road’ album recorded. Traffic outside studio was stopped for the July/Aug cover photo of the group on a pedestrian crossing. The final mix on 1969 August 20 was the last day all four were together in a recording studio. It is released on Sept. 26.
July 6, Debut film ‘A Hard Day's Night’ premiered. The soundtrack album of the same name was issued on Aug. 10 and 1964 reached number 1.

Dec. 4, The fourth album, ‘Beatles For Sale’, is released 1964 topping the charts immediately.
June 12, Queen Elizabeth awards the four the MBE (Member of the British Empire). John returns his in 1969, partly in protest 1965 at British support for United States in the Vietnam War.
July 29, The second Beatles film, ‘Help!’, premieres. The 1965 album was released on Aug. 6 in Britain.
‘Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band’ is released June 1, and was British number one for 27 weeks. It 1967 becomes the highest selling British album of all time.
Dec. 3, ‘Rubber Soul’ is released and sees the group departing 1965 from their rock and roll sound for the first time.
Aug The ‘Revolver’ album is released. 1966
Dec 3, The Beatles start their final British tour. The last live concert in Britain takes place on May 1, 1966. Final 1965 concert of all is in San Francisco on Aug. 29, 1966.

Nov. Magical Mystery Tour is released in. The television film was 27, first shown on Dec. 26, 1967 starring the Scottish actor 1967 Ivor Cutler.
May 26- June 2, John Lennon and Yoko record ‘Give Peace a Chance’. 1969
For the first time, serious disagreements between The Feb Beatles occur. The group works separately on tracks 1968 for The White Album.
Dec 17, First British performance as The Beatles, Liverpool. 1960
Documentary ‘Let it Be’ is filmed. Intended as Jan. account of The Beatles' ‘rebirth’, it chronicles their 1969 demise.
Jan 22, Apple Corp, a record company founded by The 1968 Beatles, opens offices in London.
Feb 7- The Beatles tour United States for the first time, 22, break TV viewing records on the ‘Ed Sullivan Show’. 1964
Jan. ‘Please Please Me’ reaches Number One in four of the five British singles charts, beginning a sequence of 12 1963 consecutive number ones.
