Atletica Podistica Solidarietà la Podistica Solidarietà TINFORMA ANNO 17 - N. 177 SETTEMBRE 2017 IL NOTIZIARIO DELLA PODISTICA SOLIDARIETÀ PODISTICA TRAIL NOTIZIE TRIATHLON CICLISMO SOLIDARIETÀ la Podistica Solidarietà TINFORMA Editoriale Cari amici Orange benvenuti all’appuntamento con il Tinforma del mese di Settembre!!! Ormai l’estate lascia lentamente il passo all’autunno e questo dal punto di vista podistico significa essere nel pieno della preparazione delle maratone che si svolgeranno verso fine anno tra cui Firenze e Latina, da sempre appuntamenti imperdibili per molti atleti Orange. Il mese di settembre è stato caratterizzato da alcune classiche sulle distanze più brevi, in particolare menzioniamo la Millennium Running di Palombara Sabina e la Corricolonna, due gare che hanno visto la massiccia presenza dei colori orange; un’altra gara che ha destato parecchio interesse è stata la Rome Half Marathon Via Pacis, alla sua prima edizione: una mezza maratona che ha attraversato Roma incontrando lungo il suo percorso i più bei monumenti della Capitale. Da segnalare anche gli appuntamenti su pista che si sono svolti in questo mese e che hanno visto risultati di rilievo per i nostri atleti: in particolare gli Open Master e il Mennea Day che si sono svolti allo Stadio Nando Martellini alle Terme di Caracalla e la seconda prova Regionale open J/P/S/M svoltasi allo Stadio P. Giannattasio di Ostia. In questo mese di settembre abbiamo un unico resoconto da proporvi: “Il viaggio dei Giganti” del nostro Marco Stravato. Un racconto emozionante e coinvolgente che racchiude oltre 333 chilometri e quasi trentamila metri di dislivello positivo; un viaggio lungo quasi sette giorni sui sentieri della Valle d’Aosta sulle orme del mitico e leggendario “Tor de Geants”. Dopo questo lungo ed intenso resoconto potrete rileggere gli avvisi gara del mese: oltre alle già citate Rome Half Marathon Via Pacis e Corricolonna, troverete il Trofeo S. Ippolito, la Mezza Maratona dei Castelli Romani e la Trenta del Mare di Ostia. Per quanto riguarda la sezione Triathlon vi informeremo sulle possibilità offerte dalla nostra società per allenarsi alle tre specialità grazie alla convenzione con l’Ironteam Italia; inoltre potrete seguire l’evolversi dell’organizzazione della seconda edizione del Duathlon del Nera. Molto ricco il menù dello spazio sociale in questo mese di Settembre ma innanzitutto lasciateci rivolgere un pensiero a Paolo Frattarelli, figlio di Piero della sezione orange di Fondi che ci ha lasciati improvvisamente: il suo ricordo nelle dolci parole di Adriano Percoco. Isabella Diana Calidonna ci parla della scuola di atletica della Podistica Solidarietà rivolta sia ai grandi che ai piccoli arancini e che ci vede riuniti presso lo Stadio Nando Martellini a Caracalla il martedì e il giovedì; chi volesse anche solo provare può rivolgersi direttamente al nostro presidente e presentarsi agli appuntamenti nei giorni di allenamento. Durante questo mese si è concluso il Criterium Estivo e ne sono stati decretati i vincitori; un percorso che ha visto i nostri orange correre in ogni angolo del Lazio e ha permesso alla nostra società di aggiudicarsi molto premi da poter destinare ai più bisognosi. Volete sapere chi ha vinto? Allora non vi resta che continuare a leggere questo numero del Tinforma!!! Troverete infine il resoconto podistico del mese di Agosto con i dati meticolosamente raccolti da Enrico Zuccheretti. 2 IL NOTIZIARIO DELLA PODISTICA SOLIDARIETÀ In ambito solidale vi segnaliamo l’importante evento che si tiene annualmente in Sardegna, ovvero “Lo sport: un ponte con la Palestina”. Il nostro orange Giuseppe Del Vecchio che opera tramite l’Associazione Ponti Non Muri fa si che un gruppo di ragazzi palestinesi della squadra di Gerico possa trascorrere in Italia un periodo di scambio culturale e allo stesso tempo possa allenarsi nelle nostre strutture sotto la guida di tecnici e preparatori atletici. Per quanto riguarda i progetti di solidarietà in questo numero conosceremo quello presentato dalla nostra orange Isabella Diana Calidonna che ha deciso di correre la Granfondo di Roma con lo scopo di una raccolta fondi a favore dell’AIL per devolverli alle cure domiciliari dei bimbi malati. Il nostro grande Aldo De Michele ci darà parecchie buone notizie dalla missione in Africa del Progetto Marco: la realizzazione di nuove scuole, la costruzione di nuovi pozzi, le visite oculistiche effettuate a centinaia di ragazzi e l’apicoltura che ha permesso l’autosostentamento di tante famiglie. Dulcis in fundo la nostra orange Elisa Tempestini ci invita ad un corso gratuito di sostegno per la Genitorialità organizzato dalla Fondazione Porfiri e dall’A.p.s Spiragli di Luce con inizio previsto il 5 ottobre 2017. Adesso non mi resta che ringraziarvi per l’attenzione prestata e augurarvi una buona lettura!!! Per quanto mi riguarda l’appuntamento è fissato per il Tinforma del mese di Ottobre. The Circeo National Park lies in a territory that was deeply shaped by human activity, and represents one of the few remaining patches of plain wetland habitat in Central Italy. In this study distribution and few demographic information of the amphibians in the Park were provided. Seven species and 25 bibliographic and 84 original breeding sites were recorded, and population size estimations were carried out for a population of these three species: Pelophylax sinkl esculentus, Bufo balearicus and Rana dalmatina. For the studied populations of pool frog and green toad the oper- ational sex ratio and the demographic effective population size was also estimated. For Rana dalmatina, which is strictly associated to forest environment, a positive and significant correlation between the number of egg clutches and maxi- mum depth of the swamps was found. The State plain forest is the most important habitat for amphibians’ conservation in the park. The occurrence of dangerous alien species was investigated and they are evaluated as the major threat for amphibians in the park, especially the crayfish Procambarus clarkii in the State plain forest.

    Coastal Cities and their Sustainable Future III 95 BIOREGIONAL APPROACH TO INTEGRATING TRANSPORT NETWORKS AND NATURAL AREAS IN THE LAZIO REGION COASTAL AREA, ITALY ALBERTO BUDONI & VALERIO MAZZESCHI La Sapienza University of Rome, Italy ABSTRACT “Bioregion”, a term coined by Peter Berg in 1977, was improved by Alberto Magnaghi, who defined it as the space for developing new relationships of coexistence between the inhabitants–producers and the territory of a region. Therefore, bioregion is a tool for rethinking regional planning, no longer as the sum of different sectorial planning exercises, but as a “transdisciplinary planning” approach that considers all of a territory’s aspects. This approach is related to EU policies for Integrated Coastal Zone Management (ICZM) and the protection of maritime and coastal areas. This paper presents a case study on the coastal areas of the Lazio region of Italy which have a great many natural areas but which is also one of the most anthropized areas in the region. Indeed, due to the rising population, many interventions in the coastal areas resulted in the transformation of natural zones into urban areas. One effect has been urban sprawl and the related lack of capillarity of the public transport network. The result was that many ecosystems and natural areas were fragmented, losing their biodiversity. With a view to reconnecting these fragmented areas, this paper discusses a new regional scenario based on enhancing the linkages between land transport networks and the maritime gateway. In this scenario, railway corridors would stimulate a new organisation for the region’s settlements by representing not only the network connecting the bioregion’s cities and towns but also the cornerstones for the environmental regeneration of the coastal areas.

Here, we report on some aspects of the invasion biology of this pathogen in Italian coastal pinewoods, and on its interaction with native (EU) Heterobasidion populations. Spores of Heterobasidion were sampled using woody traps in pine stands along 280 km of coast around Rome. DNA of single-spore colonies was characterized by two sets of nuclear and one set of mitochondrial taxon-specific polymerase chain reaction primers. NA spores were found not only in a single site, but in many locations over a wide geographic area. Invasion occurred at an estimated rate of 1.3 km/year through invasion corridors provided by single trees, and not necessarily by sizable patches of forests. Within the 100-km long range of expansion, the NA taxon was dominant in all pure pine stands.

Strada Piscinara destra 2, 04100 Latina, Italy; e-mail: [email protected] ABSTRACT The variety of environments that characterizes the Circeo National Park must also take into account, in addition to the terrestrial natural values that are present, even the importance of marine and coastal stretches that currently do not benefit from a similar regime of protection, preserving instead important elements of wealth for marine biodiversity. This added value is represented in a particular way by the presence of Posidonia oceanica (L.) Delile, 1813, habitat of Community interest. The proposal of the Plan of the Park to extend to the sea The Circeo National Park would help to protect and enhance areas for the most part already included in the Natura 2000 network that could be handled in a unified manner by the Park providing for their conservation through various management interventions. Another proposal involves, instead of creating a true marine protected area, encompassing the whole Posidonia meadows present both in the northern section of the coast and in the south, between San Felice and Terracina and, hopefully also the stretch of sea that surrounds the island of Zannone (therefore including the SPAs area regarding the Pontine Archipelago).
