The goal of BBRC is to become an internationally recognized centre of excellence in our understanding of age-related cognitive disability in order to provide practical solutions to the global challenges posed by the world’s aging population. Our goal will be achieved by championing primary and secondary prevention programs for Alzheimer’s disease and other related neurodegenerative disorders, the study and promotion of healthy aging, and the research of the basic physiological mechanisms of cognitive functions affected by healthy or pathological aging such as memory, learning and decision-making, among others. NeCat ?el partit escindit del PSC i fundat per l'exconseller Ernest Maragall? i Moviment Catalunya ?el corrent intern del PSC fundat per l'actual president, Àngel Ros, liderat per les diputades Marina Geli i Núria Ventura i al qual pertanyen exconsellers com Montserrat Tura o Joaquim Nadal o els exalcaldes catalanistes de Reus i Cambrils, Lluís Miquel Pérez i Robert Benaiges, respectivament? presentaran divendres l'acord a partir del qual han decidit fundar un nou partit al marge del PSC. La nova formació naixerà formalment al proper mes de gener, però els integrants que encara militen al Partit dels Socialistes, que lidera Miquel Iceta, començaran ja mateix a abandonar-lo. El nou partit encara no té clar el seu nom, però sí quines organitzacions en seran les fundadores, quan es presentarà i que començarà a caminar al gener. Així, la formació de l'ara eurodiputat Maragall ?actualment col·ligada amb ERC a les eleccions europees? i el corrent intern del PSC confluiran divendres en un acord públic que portarà a la creació de la nova marca. Les conseqüències de l'aparició del nou partit no es faran esperar. -

Una de les primeres negociacions que duen a terme les forces polítiques que decideixen de governar en co alició és la distribució de ministeris o conselleries (Matas, 2000: 114). Com han observat Laver i Schofield (1990: 164-165) «la distribució de payoffs entre membres d'una coalició representa la línia de fons del procés polític [... ] una d'aquelles coses que la Teoria (de coalicions) necessita explicar perquè ens facilita informació sobre la validesa de les assumpcions de cadascuna de les teories que hem construït en primer terme». -
