City of Sequim Arts Advisory Commission;

Esteemed Comm iss ion Members;

The Seattle Glassblowing Studio is pleased to submit our proposal to create a memorable and iconic art installation with the City of Sequim for the Council Chambers. We've created a design that we believe expands on the unique brand identity of Sequ im, compliments the city sea l, and fills the wide space behind the dais with visually strong artwork.

Our Studio team is led by Artistic Director and Found ing Artist Cliff Goodman, Designer Bob Rigg, and Lead Glassblower Brandon Cupp. This team has over 80 years of combined experience in , des ign and installations. We've worked with a wide variety of clients for public entities, corporations, and private individuals.

Our concept is two styli zed butches of lavender, one on either side of the city seal. Each "bunch" will consist of three metal stems with ten glass wa ll plates. We envision a riot of purple glass with warmly patinaed metal that ties to the purple and brown used in the city seal. The artwork wil l create a strong impression yet gentle impact, filling the back wall.

We previously worked on a project installed at the Civic Center through the Olympic View Foundation. We were inspired by the community we found in Sequim as we ll as the beautiful downtown and surrounding . Our des ign for the Council Chambers is based on our visits. We specifical ly chose a design that lends consistency of style with the lobby piece whi le

Teamwork, collaboration, and communication is integral to our work. We would further develop our concept with the cl ient team as needed to reflect the vision and community needs of the City of Sequim.

Our work samples are submitted as jpegs file types on a CD .

Sincerely,

Cliff Goodman
