Territory of Zlatar Cheese Production Territory Boundaries Zlatar cheese Introduction The territory of Zlatar cheese production is at the same time the territory of fatty cream stuffed paprika: Territory of Zlatar cheese production The territory of Zlatar cheese production covers partly the territories of three municipalities: Nova Varos, Prijepolje and Sjenica (a small part). The territorial coverage was defined after the discussions and talks with producers and it represents a realistic picture. Taking into consideration that the Feasibility study contains a request for registration of the Zlatar cheese name of origin, the territories of milk production and its processing into cheese are the same. Territory boundaries South boundary: the Veljusnica river. East boundary is the right bank of the Uvac river up to the estuary of the Kladnica river, the Kladnica river is the boundary line towards Mt. Javor, then it goes from the top of Mt. Javor, and in the direction of Kadijaca towards the Cemernica to the estuary of the Tisovica river, along the border of Zlatar lake to the dam. (which is a north boundary). West border is the Zlosnica river, where the village of Brdo belongs, then along the Zlosnica river to Kozara, towards Babic hill, along the south bo u n d a r y o f Draževići to a three border point with the rivers of Bistrica and Kosatica, then to a three border cross -section place of Biskupica, Kosatica and Mileševo, to the river of Milesevka. It continues along the upper flow of the Milesevka river, the south boundary of Aljinovici village from a three border point of Aljinovici, Upper and Lower Goracici, to the spring of the Veljusnica where the circle is closed. www.rpk-uzice.co.rs List of villages in which Zlatar cheese is produced The villages in Nova Varos municipality are: Akmacici, Amidzici, Bozetici, Brdo, Bukovik, Debelja, Drazevici, Drmanovici, Gornje Trudovo, Komarani, Ljepojevici, Misevici, Radijevici, Tisovica, Trudovo, Vilovi and Stitkovo. The villages in Prijepolje municipality are: Kosatica, Pravosevo, Biskupici, Muskovina, Medjani, Aljinovici. The villages in Sjenica municipality are: Upper Lopize and Lower Goracice. Number of producers: around 10 households that produce cheese for the market and 2 milk processing companies („Zlatarka“ and „Zelenika plus“) Quantities : no information available, but it is possible to inquire about the quantities produced by milk processing companies.
