- The first winter sport began in 1908 London Olympic (Figure skating events) - The first Winter Olympics was held in Chamonix, France in 1924 - first participated at the 5th St. Moritz Winter Olympic Games in 1948 (3 athletes were sent to participate) ※ The Summer and Winter Games placed on separate four-year cycles in alternating even-numbered years since 1994 (A total of 22 games)
