t was twenty years ago that thanks to the Finstock WI (Women’s Institute) a meeting was held in the old Village Hall with Ithirty-five in attendance to voice their active interest in a village communication source such as a newsletter. A committee was formed to produce a non-profit newsletter run by volunteers and financed by advertising. At the meeting, chaired by Mike Woodfield, suggestions were made for content, which continues to guide coverage in the newsletter today. A village website was born shortly after and continues to this day – finstock.org.uk.
