Ecological properties were noted and they were photographed at their natural habitats. The samples are transferred to the lab and they were dried and prepared as fungarium materials. As a result of necessary identification processes, 90 taxa belonging to 8 classis, 14 orders, 40 families and 74 genera were determined. Thirty of them belong to Ascomycota and sixty belong to Basidiomycota. Two, Trichoglossum walteri (Berk.) E.J. Durand (Geoglossaceae) and Tulostoma niveum Kers (Agaricaceae) of the determined taxa are new records for Turkey. Keywords: Biodiversity, Macrofungus, Taxonomy, Ereğli, Konya ii ÖN SÖZ Mantarlar biyosferin önemli bileşenlerindendir. KEY WORDS—Agaricomycetes, Marasmius, Mycena, Collybia, Clitocybe Introduction The aim of the Checklist of the Argentinean Agaricales is to establish a baseline of knowledge on the diversity of mushrooms species described in the literature from Argentina up to 2011. The families Amanitaceae, Pluteaceae, Hygrophoraceae, Coprinaceae, Strophariaceae, Bolbitaceae and Crepidotaceae were previoulsy compiled (Niveiro & Albertó 2012a-c). In this contribution, the families Tricholomataceae and Polyporaceae are presented. Materials & Methods Nomenclature and classification systems This checklist compiled data from the available literature on Tricholomataceae and Polyporaceae recorded for Argentina up to the year 2011. Nomenclature and classification systems followed Singer (1986) for families. The genera Pleurotus, Panus, Lentinus, and Schyzophyllum are included in the family Polyporaceae. The Tribe Polyporae (including the genera Polyporus, Pseudofavolus, and Mycobonia) is excluded. There were important rearrangements in the families Tricholomataceae and Polyporaceae according to Singer (1986) over time to present. Tricholomataceae was distributed in six families: Tricholomataceae, Marasmiaceae, Physalacriaceae, Lyophyllaceae, Mycenaceae, and Hydnaginaceae. Some genera belonging to this family were transferred to other orders, i.e. Rickenella (Rickenellaceae, Hymenochaetales), and Lentinellus (Auriscalpiaceae, Russulales).

  • A Synopsis of the Saddle Fungi (Helvella: Ascomycota) in Europe – Species Delimitation, Taxonomy and Typification
Persoonia 39, 2017: 201–253 ISSN (Online) 1878-9080 www.ingentaconnect.com/content/nhn/pimj RESEARCH ARTICLE https://doi.org/10.3767/persoonia.2017.39.09 A synopsis of the saddle fungi (Helvella: Ascomycota) in Europe – species delimitation, taxonomy and typification I. Skrede1,*, T. Carlsen1, T. Schumacher1 Key words Abstract Helvella is a widespread, speciose genus of large apothecial ascomycetes (Pezizomycete: Pezizales) that are found in terrestrial biomes of the Northern and Southern Hemispheres. This study represents a beginning on molecular phylogeny assessing species limits and applying correct names for Helvella species based on type material and specimens in the Pezizales university herbaria (fungaria) of Copenhagen (C), Harvard (FH) and Oslo (O). We use morphology and phylogenetic systematics evidence from four loci – heat shock protein 90 (hsp), translation elongation factor alpha (tef), RNA polymerase II (rpb2) and the nuclear large subunit ribosomal DNA (LSU) – to assess species boundaries in an expanded sample of Helvella specimens from Europe. We combine the morphological and phylogenetic information from 55 Helvella species from Europe with a small sample of Helvella species from other regions of the world. Little intraspecific variation was detected within the species using these molecular markers; hsp and rpb2 markers provided useful barcodes for species delimitation in this genus, while LSU provided more variable resolution among the pertinent species. We discuss typification issues and identify molecular characteristics for 55 European Helvella species, designate neo- and epitypes for 30 species, and describe seven Helvella species new to science, i.e., H. alpicola, H. alpina, H. carnosa, H. danica, H. nannfeldtii, H. pubescens and H.

  • A Preliminary Checklist of Arizona Macrofungi
A PRELIMINARY CHECKLIST OF ARIZONA MACROFUNGI Scott T. Bates School of Life Sciences Arizona State University PO Box 874601 Tempe, AZ 85287-4601 ABSTRACT A checklist of 1290 species of nonlichenized ascomycetaceous, basidiomycetaceous, and zygomycetaceous macrofungi is presented for the state of Arizona. The checklist was compiled from records of Arizona fungi in scientific publications or herbarium databases. Additional records were obtained from a physical search of herbarium specimens in the University of Arizona’s Robert L. Gilbertson Mycological Herbarium and of the author’s personal herbarium. This publication represents the first comprehensive checklist of macrofungi for Arizona. In all probability, the checklist is far from complete as new species await discovery and some of the species listed are in need of taxonomic revision. The data presented here serve as a baseline for future studies related to fungal biodiversity in Arizona and can contribute to state or national inventories of biota. INTRODUCTION Arizona is a state noted for the diversity of its biotic communities (Brown 1994). Boreal forests found at high altitudes, the ‘Sky Islands’ prevalent in the southern parts of the state, and ponderosa pine (Pinus ponderosa P.& C. Lawson) forests that are widespread in Arizona, all provide rich habitats that sustain numerous species of macrofungi. Even xeric biomes, such as desertscrub and semidesert- grasslands, support a unique mycota, which include rare species such as Itajahya galericulata A. Møller (Long & Stouffer 1943b, Fig. 2c). Although checklists for some groups of fungi present in the state have been published previously (e.g., Gilbertson & Budington 1970, Gilbertson et al. 1974, Gilbertson & Bigelow 1998, Fogel & States 2002), this checklist represents the first comprehensive listing of all macrofungi in the kingdom Eumycota (Fungi) that are known from Arizona.

  • The Genus Crepidotus (Fr.) Staude in Europe
PERSOON I A Published by Rijksherbarium / Honus 8 01anicus. Leiden Volume 16. Part I. pp. 1-80 ( 1995) THE GENUS CREPIDOTUS (FR.) STAUDE IN EUROPE BEATRICE SENN-IRLET Systematisch-Gcobotanischcs lnsti1u1 dcr Univcrsit!lt Bern. C H-3013 Dern. Switzerland The gcnu~ Crepidotus in Europe is considered. After an examination of 550 collce1ions seven1ccn species and eigh1 varie1ies ore recognized. Two keys ore supplied; all taxa accept ed ore typified. Morphological. ecological and chorological chamc1ers arc cri1ically cvalua1cd. De crip· tivc stotis1ies arc used for basidiospore size. An infrageneric classifica1ion is proposed based on phcnctic rela1ionships using differcn1 cluster methods. The new combinations C. calo lepi.r var. sq11amulos1,s and C. cesatii var. subsplwerosporus arc inlroduced. The spore oma memouon as seen in the scanning electron microscope provides 1hc best character for species dclimilntion and classification. INTRODUCTION Fries ( 1821 : 272) established Agaricus eries De rm illus tribus Crepido111s for more or less pleurotoid species with ferruginous or pale argillaceous spores and an ephemeral. fibrillose veil (!). His fourteen species include such taxa as Paxillus arrorome111osus, Le11ti11el/11s v11/pi11us. Panel/us violaceo-fulvus and £1110/oma deplue11s which nowadays are placed in quite different genera and families. Only three of Fries' species belong to the genu Crepidotus as conceived now. T his demonstrates the importance of microscopic characters, neglected by Fries, for the circumscription of species and genera. Staude ( 1857) raised the tribus Crepidorus to generic rank with C. mollis as the sole species. Hesler & Smith ( 1965) dealt with the history of th e genus Crepido111s in more detail. In recent years several regional floras have been published, e.g.
