Many voices motivated for kids

Who reads for Ready Readers? Our volunteers are women and men, from early adulthood to octogenarians. We have city dwellers and suburbanites from as far west as St. Charles and from the east in Illinois. There are bankers and artists. Coaches and librarians. Former teachers and school principals. Though they come from different walks of life, our Readers are united by a desire to inspire the youngest in our region to become strong readers and develop a lifelong love of reading. As they watch the children gaining skills with each weekly session, our Readers find themselves inspired, too.
