We welcome into the Church, the newly-Baptised infant Isabella Poletaev--daughter of Greg & Silvana Poletaev. She was baptized by Fr. Andrew last Friday here at St. Michael’s. “Many Years!”

Services this week: Presanctified Liturgies on Wed. April 9th and Friday, April 11th at 6pm. Remember to fast in strict abstinence from your noon meal as preparation for Holy Communion. A potluck will follow the Friday Presanctified Liturgies throughout Lent. Please bring something Lenten (strict fast food) to share with others. We will enjoy hearing the life of a saint.

Canon of St. Andrew of Crete will be held this Thursday, April 10th at 6:30pm. It will be followed with the life story of St. Mary of , and holy confessions.

Choir Practice for Holy Week and Pascha will be held this Saturday, April 12th, at 3pm.

Building Program Update: Praise ! Our Exploratory Plan finally was approved! Now let us pray as we enter the next round in the County approval process. Hopefully, now things will speed up!

Good Samaritan collection today: This collection will be dedicated to Fr. Joseph Chupeck, who faced early retirement due to failing health issues. Fr. Joseph was the former pastor of St. Michael’s and played an integral part in the construction of this current church facility and the language conversion from Russian to English in the 1970’s. (IRS note: such “targeted gifts” do not qualify for church tax receipts.)

And the winner is...??? The Committee for St. Michael's Dinner Dance with Silent Auction on November 14, 2008, has selected the "theme" for the evening. The winning "theme" will be used on ALL Promotional and Print items for the event! The Winner will be announced today.

Coffee Hour—Visitors: We are so glad you came to fellowship with us. We hope you come back again. We ask our regular members to always be conscious of the hard work that the fellowship hour hosts and hostesses offer to us each Sunday as volunteers. They do a great and deserve our thanks. We must try our best to show our appreciation by cleaning up after ourselves and our children before leaving. Reminder to the host/hostesses: please also remember to sweep the floor of the social hall after each coffee hour. We are the family of Christ. Let us take care of each other.
