In 2012, and spirits exports were Euros 11.5 billion, generating a positive balance of e9.9 billion. With a +5% increase in 2012, Rhône Valley AOC exports continued to grow for the 3rd consecutive year. In 2012 wine and spirits therefore represented the second biggest trade surplus in France, after the aeronautics industry.
