Those are a few of the exciting prizes that will be awarded to some lucky Guests during the Disneyland® Diamond Days sweepstakes, part of the Disneyland® Resort Diamond Celebration. Celebrating the 60th anniversary, Disneyland® Diamond Days is an exciting sweepstakes in which daily prizes are awarded to some Disneyland® Resort visitors as part of the Diamond Celebration. Each daily prize package for that day includes an individualized tour of the Parks with preferred access to select attractions, dining and VIP viewing at some of the dazzling, new nighttime spectaculars. Daily prize winners must be present on the Disneyland® Resort premises at the time of entry and at the time of prize redemption in order to be able to enjoy these special experiences, and theme park admission is not necessary to enter or win the sweepstakes.* In addition to the daily prizes, Disneyland® Diamond Days offer Guests a weekly opportunity to win exceptional Disneyland® Resort prizes and experiences. Appropriately enough, the most exciting prizes are authentic diamonds, custom-engraved for Disney! One- and two-carat Disney Diamonds will be awarded throughout the celebration, and some will commemorate dates with particular significance to the Disneyland® Resort. One-carat Disney Diamonds will even be paired with a stay in the Disneyland® Dream Suite – the magical, private apartment located above the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in New Orleans Square inside Disneyland® Park. Weekly prizes include: a clear, crystal Cinderella slipper, adorned with a diamond-and-topaz pendant; plus highly unique experiences that only Disneyland® can offer, such as a private party in Fantasyland, a romantic cruise aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat, or a tailgate party in Cars Land. The available prize will vary each week. Full official rules will be available at Disneyland.com/DiamondDays. * NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Void where prohibited. Open to legal residents of the 50 U.S., D.C., Mexico and Canada (excluding Quebec) who are age of majority as of date of entry. Every musical group across the Disneyland® Resort is incorporating special Diamond Celebration moments into its shows. The beloved animated windows on Main Street, U.S.A are coming to life once again for the Disneyland® Resort Diamond Celebration as Main Street Enchanted Windows. Since the early 1960s, scenes from Disney animated classics have been featured in the windows of the Emporium at Disneyland® Park. This year, for the Disneyland® Resort Diamond Celebration, these classic windows will be updated with new, exciting technology and effects. There will be a total of six Main Street Enchanted Windows. The first two, featuring the stories of “Peter Pan” and “Cinderella,” were unveiled in May, followed by “Frozen” and “The Princess and the Frog” in July, and “Toy Story” and “Aladdin” in August. The Main Street Enchanted Windows are just another way the Disneyland® Resort continues to delight Guests in ways both big and small. At Disney California Adventure® Park: Guests may Dream-Along with Mickey Mouse and the Red Car News Boys, as Mickey shares a whole new song about his vision for the Happiest Place on Earth. When the Five & Dime arrive on Buena Vista Street, Guests will be immersed in a joyous Dance-Along with Dime, Goofy and the boys. “RIVERBLENDERS” - NEWSLETTER JANUARY, 2012 River Ramblings Editor - Je"ey Grimmer The Mankato Riverblenders LO’L Academy Attendees Photo - Academy attendee L to R - Charles Youngblom, Arvid Zenk, Doug Peterson, Chuck Schubbe, Tim Schubbe, Jeff Grimmer, Thom Schubbe, Ron Meyer January 6, 2012 - eight Riverblenders headed out to River Falls, Wisconsin to attend the annual LO’L Leadership Academy - Chord College. The weather was very nice and the trip was uneventful. Some of us checked in early and then went to register at the University of Wisconsin - River Falls Riverside building. Classes started at 1:00p.m. and WOW was there a plethora of choices. The reason for this was the combination of Leadership Academy with the Chord College which failed to take place earlier in the year. I was very please with all of the choices and came back with a list of 30 things that I wanted to present to the chapter. I know that I speak for all of the members that attended, when I say, we learned a great deal and we would like to thank the chapter for sending us. Remember that any members that want to, can attend this great event. Thanks to the LO’L and its board members that were responsible for setting this up. Thanks also to UW River Falls for their support and excellent food service! - Editor 2012 LO’L Board of Directors Photo - j grimmer Do you notice anyone familiar on the LO’L board? The Bird chips away at the Wall— Flying by the Tree’s Top. He chooses our Home over Food— Waking Me from my Nap The Tree knocks against my Window— Her Hair floats in the Air. Every Morning—her Arms stretch wide— Waking Me through my Ear. Warming my face—His Waves come through— Signaling a fair Day. The Sun climbs up every Morning— Opening both my Eyes. HOME TIDINGS FEATURES COLUMNS GAMES TOOLS FROM: Hughes of Green Published Every Other Saturday The Daily Flag Retreat Hughes goes on a top secret mission to find out exactly where all those turkey legs we love so much are coming from and encounters the Daily Flag Retreat Ceremony. - by Stephen Bell, September 26, 2011 Hughes here with another report, Today I was in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom on a mission, which I’ve had in progress for a while… Tracking down just where all those Turkey Legs are coming from. I’d just finished up the day’s surveillance of a cart selling Turkey Legs in Liberty Square and was heading out of the park after a long day. Walking down Main Street USA I thought about where my next area for investigation should be, when I heard an announcement over the public address system. “Ladies and Gentlemen, please join us in the Main Street Square for the Magic Kingdom’s daily Flag Retreat.” Learn More About: COLUMN AUTHOR Attention! Major Hughes will address the park guests. "At ease. I'm Hughes, Hughes of Green, and I've heard reports of infiltrators in Disney World. Universal spies? Gatorland goobers? We don't know. But we're taking no chances, either. Until further notice, I will be setting up camp at the Shades of Green resort, from which location I will recon the parks weekly to gather intelligence and to investigate suspicious activity. If you see me, ignore me, because I'm on patrol. Questions? Dismissed." Disney Swag: The T-Shirt I quickened my pace, I hadn’t seen a Retreat Ceremony since I’d retired from the military months ago.

  • The Class of '21 Is Virtually Over
Paul Revere Charter Middle School and Magnet Center Thursday, June 10, 2021 Volume 65, Issue 5 The Class of ’21 Is Virtually Over After about 15 months apart, the culminating eighth-graders will gather one last time. By AVERY ZEMLAK This past year has been un- imaginably different from any other in many ways, from log- ging on for school instead of walking through the front gate, and eighth-graders eating lunch at home most days instead of sitting in the quad which is an eighth-grade rite of passage. One thing, however, stays the same. Paul Revere continues to celebrate their culminating eighth-graders and all they have accomplished. Despite their on-campus time having been cut short, they still were able to socialize with friends, complete all three grades, and most im- portantly learn from themselves, their peers, and their teachers. Although some of the most well-known eighth-grade events could not take place this year due to the outbreak of COVID-19 that caused the school to turn virtual in March 2020, Patriots were able to adjust to these new changes. “Given that we have been hearing about the Disne- yland and DC trips since sixth grade, it is sad knowing that On their last Monday as eighth-graders, Class of 2021 members headed out to Chino for paintball and a picnic. we will not be able to partake in these special activities,” said took place on Monday, June 7. Week, and even an Among Us pages 2 and 3 for the finalists of Revere’s Vice President, Ella In addition, there were many Zoom with teachers.
