Military Information & Check List for Disneyland Thank you so much for your service to our great nation! Practically Perfect Vacations is grateful for your time spent in the military protecting our country, and we are proud to help you plan the most magical trip by finding you great rates and telling you how Disney shows their appreciation for your service as well! If you’re reading this, you most likely booked your resort with a military discount, and/or have gotten your theme park tickets at a fantastic discounted rate from your local military installation. Below are a few helpful tips and reminders of what to bring with you to ensure that your tickets are activated, as well as some other great information for your trip. Military/Spouse ID: Bring this with you! You will need it to activate your tickets at the park. Tickets: You may purchase a 3 or 4-day Park Hopper discounted ticket at your local military installation prior to your trip, or registered military guests may also purchase them directly from their Disneyland Resort Hotel Front Desk. You have received small ticket receipts with the confirmation number on them. Please bring these ticket stubs with you!! They are essential for you to get into the park! (See First Day at the Parks) If you, the military member/spouse, choose to have an Annual Pass for DL, you may use this while the rest of your party uses the discounted military tickets, but you MUST be in the traveling party. First Day at the Parks: You must go to the ticket counter at the theme parks in order to “activate” the military park hoppers. You will need ALL guests in your party who are using the military tickets, the ticket receipts (mentioned above), and your Military ID. This is only necessary for the first day/first entrance to the park; after which, all guests can come and go as they please. Notes: Unfortunately, Disneyland Salute Tickets are NOT valid for Magic Morning early entry admission, but they do work with “Extra Magic Hours” as long as you are staying at a Disneyland Resort. Disney PhotoPass: Disneyland offers the Disney PhotoPass at a discounted rate of $49 + tax to military members & spouses. You can only purchase this from January 1st – December 19th at the following locations: Main Street Photo Supply Co. at Disneyland Park, or Kingswell Camera Shop at Disney California Adventure Park. Retreat Ceremony in Town Square: Daily, at the Town Square in front of the Disneyland Railroad Main Street Station, the Disneyland Band and/or the Dapper Dans perform the National Anthem and the hymns of each military branch. As the flag is lowered and retired for the day at 4:30pm, all veterans are encouraged to salute during this time. At random, a U.S. Veteran is chosen to participate in the ceremony as well, and is handed the folded flag, a certificate and a pin. Please verify at Guest Relations at the beginning of the day what time the ceremony is that day, as sometimes it can change. .
