German language courses in Erlangen and Nuremberg
The University of Erlangen-Nürnberg does not offer any German language courses for beginners. To qualify for the German language courses at the University you must prove German language proficiency up to the minimum level of A2 as well as a university entrance qualification. Information on admission to the German course preparing for studies is available at: https://www.fau.eu/international/international-applicants/bachelors-masters-state-examinations/admission-requirements/
The course fees are currently 720 euros per semester. Details for the courses in the upcoming semester can be obtained from the University of Erlangen-Nürnberg Language Centre Bismarckstr. 10, 91054 Erlangen www.sz.fau.de
The Language Centre can also provide preparation materials for the German language university entrance exam for international students (Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang ausländischer Studienbewerber; DSH). See http://sz.fau.de/abteilungen/daf/pruefungen/dsh. These can be obtained from the Secretary’s Office at cost price.
