Construction period o Around two years of preparation, planning, approval o A construction period of just under two years o Groundbreaking in March 2018 o Opening in December 2019 Schedule and passenger volume o Start coincides with the timetable change on December 15, 2019 o Regional train from Munich to Nuremberg (and back) via Ingolstadt and Treuchtlingen stops every hour o Around 1,500 people a day, 3,000 arriving/departing passengers a day Transport station o Central platform with a length of 170 m and a height of 76 cm above rail level o Pedestrian overpass with stairwells in the western area o Two elevators to create a barrier-free development o 49 m platform roof o 2 dynamic signage units Connection measures o Track rotation: approx. 800 m o Adaption of overhead line systems: approx. 1,000 m o Adaption of control and safety technology Transport hubs in the adjacent areas o Connection structure with access stairs and an elevator to the central platform on the eastern side of the platform, and an elevator to the southern transport hub This offers the passengers barrier-free access to the public part of the platform as well as to the plant premises and the southern transport hub on the plant premises.
