CELEBRATING 60 YEARS 2017 Annual Credits Editor: Nikita Rodrigues [email protected] Proofreader: Dr Mavis Ford, La Trobe University Photographic Contributions: Rob Lindblade Photography Ms Carolyn Ellul Terence Fatouros Paddy McKenna Graphic Design and Printing: DMC Group Alan Huynh Year 12 Studio Arts Alan Huynh’s artwork, titled ‘Sit Down and Have a Drink’, was one of two final artworks completed as part of his Studio Arts folio. His inspiration came from wanting to represent as much of the person’s character, as well as his likeness, in a portrait. This image represents a fellow Studio Arts student, and his love of whimsical storytelling. This image is the result of using traditional drawing materials of grey lead overlayed with ink. The process took Alan more than 20 hours, and is a testament to his fellow student’s character. Congratulations Alan on being shortlisted as a finalist for the Season of Excellence for Top Arts in 2018! We wish you all the best in the coming selection process, and in your future artistic endeavours.
