Troubleshooting
Problem #1: Data is not being exported via serial export. Possible Solution: A successful export of data from the Atomlab 500 Dose Calibrator will result in the green serial communication bars scrolling. Check to make sure the serial com indicator is green. Red indicates there is a problem with the configured com port. Another program may have the com port allocated. If the indicator bars are green and there appears to be no communication, check the cable connections. Refer to the Hardware Connections section of this manual for information on Serial to Serial or Serial to USB connection. In some cases the computer may have to be restarted with the device connected.
Problem #2: Report is viewed on screen, but will not print. Possible Solution: The report is viewed using Window’s Internet Explorer. Printing problems are most likely related to the printer set-up. Check to make sure that the correct printer is selected and installed in the Windows program and check the cable connections of the printer to the computer. If the printer was not connected to the computer when you powered-up the computer it may be necessary to restart the computer with the printer connected.
