Yemen is the world’s worst humanitarian crisis and 16.4 million lacked access to adequate driven by conflict, economic collapse and the HealthCare. Health

Pure Hands has played an important role in the field of medical care. The aim behind Pure Hands’ health interventions is to increase access of health services to most vulnerable groups. Over the period from January through December of 2018, Pure Hands implemented different health projects, including distribution of medicines, rehabilitation of hospitals and health facilities, and providing medical assistance to individuals. A total of 1,022,766 people benefitted from these interventions, at a total cost of $33,958,215.

11 Medical Supplies and Rehabilitation of Equipment Hospitals and Health

Medical programs aimed to improve the health situation in hospitals Facilities and health facilities by providing medicines, supplies, furniture, wheel chairs and nutrition supplements. Food Security

Pure Hands contributed to improving availability and access to food for the needy and vulnerable groups through its emergency food assistance project. This project was undertaken in collaboration with all stakeholders. In total, 247,276 individuals benefited from this project, at a cost of $1,269,605 during year of 2018.

15 Food Basket Distribution This project was designed to reduce the suffering of poor people. Pure Hands was one of the humanitarian organizations that responded to the humanitarian crisis by providing basic food assistance to the most vulnerable groups in various Governorates across Yemen.

Establishing Bakeries

Two bakeries were established in Ibb City, to provide bread for 10,500 people on a daily basis.

In addition, bread packages have been distributed to the needy people in Al-Dhale, Ibb, Sana’a, and Aden Governorates.

Meal Distribution Ready meal project was one of the important food security program Pure Hands implemented in 2018. Pure Hands distributed ready meals to many vulnerable groups through out Yemen.

16 17 Pure Hands continued to play a leadership role in the livelihood sector in 2018. Pure Hands puts a great deal of efforts to reduce poverty and improve Livelihood livelihoods of poor households to promote self-esteem and self-reliance. Development Vocational training is one of Pure Hands programs that help individuals be independents in generating their own income. WASH Water, Sanitation and Hygiene

Pure Hand also committed to ensure availability and sustainability of water sources and sanitation for all. The interventions include providing clean drinking water, drilling water wells, setting up water networks, constructing tanks, and providing hygiene kits to the targeted groups to help prevent diseases.

WASH services have been provided to various Governorates across the country. The total cost of these programs was $96,601, impacting 46,129 beneficiaries.

A total of 902 orphans benefitted from this project.

Building Al-Awd Road Schools Rehabilitation

Pure Hands contributed to the construction of Al-Awd Road in Pure Hands believes that every child has the right to complete , which benefits and directly touches the lives of their education. To that end, Pure Hands began a School 4,900 people. Rehabilitation Project with the aim of providing students with equal access to safe and protective learning spaces. Emphasis was placed on having safe, hygienic, and well- maintained buildings that provide environments conducive to learning and working. Two schools, one in Ibb Governorate and Public Bathroom another in Taiz governorate, were rehabilitated in 2018. A total of Rehabilitation 1,360 students benefitted from this project.

Public Bathroom Rehabilitation was one of the projects undertaken by the Reconstruction Sector of Pure Hands. This project was implemented in Ibb governorate in 2018, to the benefit of over 300 people.
