Food security reports issued by UN and international organizations indicate that the possibility of famine in Yemen has decreased due to the support provided to the country by donors, which include KSrelief. An OCHA report indicates that 56% of the 18.8 million people in need of food security in Yemen has been covered by the 2019 Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan, and that food aid was delivered to 10.5 million beneficiaries between the beginning of 2019 and mid-2019. شؤون التخطيط والتطوير – إدارة البحوث والمعلومات Shelter and non-food items sector: Project Status Number of Projects Cost (USD) Beneficiaries Project Activities Under implementation Providing and distributing (tents, 4 12,492,626.40 526,962 blankets, rugs, building renovations, housing subsidy, non-food products, clothes, toys) Completed 16 41,399,183.07 2,332,179 Total 20 53,891,809.47 2,859,141 Outcomes of Shelter and Non-food Items Projects in Yemen: KSrelief’s responses to crises and natural disasters in Yemen during the reporting period in the shelter and non-food items sector led to a decrease in the impact of these crises and disasters on the members of the public who were exposed to them. In its reports, OCHA praised KSrelief’s efforts to support Yemen. The aid provided in this sector help to alleviate the suffering of Yemeni IDPs forced to flee their homes due to violence. The center has provided ongoing shelter aid and non-food aid to secure the basic needs of all IDPs. Aid was delivered to nearly 900,000 out of 3 million people in need, according to reports on the UN Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan for the period from 1 January 2019 to mid-2019; therefore, aid was able to reach 31% of its targeted beneficiaries.
