PREFACE The continued interest in the possibilities of a Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River seaway has prompted the preparation of the present bibliography. The first edition was issued with the same title in October 1936. It, in turn, was preceded in Novem- ber 1932 by a list entitled "References on the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence River Project" (53 P»» typewritten). To insure completeness, the card catalogs of the Library of Congress and the Library of the U. S.
