Introduction Jharkhand, the 28th province of India was cut out of the southern piece of Bihar state on fifteenth Nov 2000.The state is flanked by Bihar in the north, Uttar Pradesh and Chhattisgarh in the west, Orissa in the south and West Bengal in the east.
