Chair, Macon-Bibb County Planning & Zoning Commission (Chair December 2010- March 2015; Vice Chair December 2009-December 2010; Appointed November 2007) • Presided over administrative and zoning hearings related to rezoning, conditional uses, variances, and amendments to the Future Land Use Map/ MBPZ Regulations • Worked with staff on budgeting, land use planning initiatives, and staff oversight Co-Chair, College Hill Corridor Commission (May 2007-January 2012) • Appointed by the University President, took a leadership role in the University’s downtown and adjoining neighborhood revitalization efforts • Helped lead Commission projects, priorities and messages; planned meetings, marketing, and signature events; coordinated workplans with similar organizations; supervised staff, interns, and volunteers

7 • Since its formation in May 2007, College Hill received grant funding in excess of $2.5 million, hired a full executive staff, led a public planning process, implemented Macon’s first bicycle lanes, and launched a successful events series • The project has attracted more than $50 million in public/private investment • Oversaw the College Hill Environmental Branding/ Directional Signage Efforts (Grant Award $100,000 from Knight Neighborhood Challenge) and College Hill Tax Assessment/ Mitigation Project
