Taipei 101 food guide

Continue Wednesday, July 08, 2020 I did extensive research and then tried and tried most of the famous night markets and restaurants in . This Taipei food guide won't look like a typical tourist destination, but there will be a good mix of hidden gems where locals eat in and Taipei's iconic restaurants! While Taipei may be known for its street food and night markets, I personally prefer their restaurants, which tend to serve my favorite eats in Taipei. If you're researching on where to eat in Taipei, this will be your ultimate food guide to the best restaurants in Taipei! Tips for travel are best traveled in groups of foursomes, so you can Uber or take a taxi around Taipei. You may find that it may be more convenient/cost effective to share a ride rather than public transport in Taipei. I find it more convenient, as opposed to taking the subway. My Taiwanese friend told me that renting is more expensive near the metro, so it's usually quite a distance to walk to good places to eat even after you've taken the subway which is fine if you have plenty of time. I'll try my best to put Chinese restaurant names, so you can just copy and paste names on your Google or Uber map to find it! Getting to and from the airport to TaipeiSince airport is in Taoyuan, and Taipei City is quite a distance if you are traveling solo or in pairs, it may be cheaper to save or use public transport, but groups of four and above should consider pre-booking a transfer from the airport, which will be more cost effective and saves time. When I took the bus it took quite a while because it would pick up customers in many different places before going to or from the airport - I really regret not booking a private shuttle instead (no need to lug around my heavy luggage and I actually waited for almost 20 minutes at the bus stop while it was drizzling a bit! ) Private airport transfersI I am happy to say that Taipei has one of the most affordable and fast internet speeds I have used during my travels. This means that all IG STORIES and Snapchat videos you can download! It's as simple as booking online and just putting it on the counter at the airport or on a high-speed rail. I usually avoid buying it on the counter before the immigration queue (which can be quite a long wait if you don't go straight and spend quite a bit of time buying simcards). Instead I will book it online through the website and then collect it after I pass immigration, saving a lot of time. If you are in groups - it is always cheaper to buy Wi-Fi to share - otherwise, just buy your own simcards if you're solo or a couple of travelers. Click here or in the picture to pre-book a simcard or Wi-Fi egg online - Taipei 101 Observatory Before I get to the meal, I'm sure most of you will definitely get to Taipei Observatory 101 and here's a tip I can give you you Ok. There will certainly be a long queue of people who are queuing up to buy tickets. You can skip this queue and just pick up the ticket in the ticket machine! Just be sure to choose your time slot and arrive on time - otherwise you may need to line up to change the time of ticket sales! Click here or in the picture to pre-book your ticket to Taipei 101 and skip the line! The most popular Taiwanese breakfast! Dou Jiang Yu Tiao (fried dough with soy milk) While you see Yong He Dou Jiang everywhere, my fav dou Jiang should be Fu Hang Dou Jiang. They open as early as 5:30 in the morning, and you will definitely see the queue! Sao Bing is baked fresh from the oven - you can see them in action while queuing to order, but my advice is to ask one of your fellow travelers to get a seat first as it can be very difficult to find places here! Basically you order soy milk (dou jiang), as well as yu thiao, wrapped with sau ping - which is basically fried dough, wrapped with egg and toasted pancake. You can dip them on soy milk while eating. Salted soy milk is something you either love or hate it. This is salted cottage cheese soy milk served with dried shrimp, harvested vegetables and chopped fried dough (yu tiao). Some of my friends didn't like it, but I find it pretty good. Fu Han Dou Jiang ⾩杭⾖漿 Hua Shan Market, 2F No. 108, Chungxyao East Rd., Sec. 1 Near MRT: Shandao Station opens: 5:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m. (but sometimes they sell early) Mama Lau Rice Balls: Another Taiwanese Breakfast Mama Lau is a very popular place for breakfast takeaways according to my research. You can see a queue early in the morning where people grab their breakfast on the way to work. There's seriously a great selection of type of rice balls you want, but they are usually stuffed with pork floss and you choose between white or purple rice, with options to even add cheese! Hubba habba! It looks good! 'Like all Taiwanese breakfasts, they have soy milk, or you can choose this red rice milk here! They even put yu tiao in it! Note that they can be ultra filling and its best to share one of two people, or you will find that you won't be hungry all day long! I think that's why people love them for breakfast as it fills you up and you stay full for quite some time! Mama Lau Rice Ball 劉媽媽飯糰 No. 88, Section 2, Hangzhou South Road opens 5 a.m. - 11 a.m. Nearest MRT: C.K.S. Memorial Hall Station Lan Jia Gua Bao 藍家割包 Taiwanese Hamburgers Lan Jia Gua Bao was one of the memorable moments in Taipei. What I like about this place was how soft and fluffy the pair buns were - combined with gorgeous pork, You can choose how lean or how fat you want your fillings to be - then topped with herbs and crushed peanuts... Omg! Seriously heaven in the bite! This Gua Bao die to die must also eat in Taipei I tell you! Except gua bao, Bao, also got a very good soup from the pork intestines here. Very recommended! Don't forget to pop in front of this restaurant to drink a cup of Chen San Din fresh milk with brown sugar tapioca balls/pearls to drink! Seriously good! You will keep coming back again and again! In my opinion - the best in Taipei among all I have tried. Lan Jia Gua Bao 藍家割包 and Chen Sang-din 陳三⿍⿊糖粉圓專賣店 No.3, Aly. 8, Ln. 316, Sec. 3, Luosif Rd., Chungzhen Dist., Taipei City 100 Nearest MRT: Gongguan Station opens 11 a.m. - 12 a.m. (closed Mondays) Song Shan Gua Bao 松割包 Alternative Lanjia (conveniently near shopping paradise) While shopping in the shopping paradise of Wu Feng Pu, I came across this alternative to Lan Jia called Song Sang Gua Bao, which actually tastes better than Lan Jia according to my wife, as she mentioned pickled vegetables tastier here. While I find both Lan Jia and Song Of The Sun both super tasty, the advantage of Song of The Sun is that it is very well located in the shopping skies in Taipei. So if you're shopping around Wu Feng Pu, be sure to take a look at this place for delicious Gua Bao! Delicious!! Son Shan Gua Bao 松割包No. 179, Songshan Road, Xinyi District, Taipei City, 110Opens: Daily 11:30AM-8PMNearest MRT: SongShan Station Klook.com Taiwanese Taiwanese beef noodles take their beef noodles seriously and even hold competitions annually to encourage competition. I've tried quite a few beef noodle sites, but I tape it down to 3 of my favorites here. Lao Pai Niu Rou La Mian Da Wang (Old School Beef Pulled King Noodles) ⽼牌⽜⾁拉⾯王 To be honest, this place wasn't on the list of places I explored, but it was just next to the hotel I stayed at. I was attracted by the local crowd here and decided to give it a try. Little did I know that this place actually has a long history and is quite famous for its beef noodles and dumplings! The noodles here are proudly handmade! The noodles were handmade and you can also choose to have Dau Xiao Mian (knife shaved noodles) to go with the beef. The best part is that you can order some different mixed stews, tofu and egg garnishes (RU WEI) to accompany the noodles. I especially love stewed tendons! Drools! Lao Pai Niu Ru La Mian Da Van ⽼牌⽜⾁拉⾯王 No 7, Lane 46, Chongqing South Road, Sec. 1, Taipei, Taiwan Nearest MRT: Taipei Home Station opens 10am - 8pm Niu Dian ⽜店 Niu Dian basically means bull shop in Chinese. A simple name but this place ranks very high and I had to wait for one hour before I get a seat for breakfast! The good news is that you can take a room from the staff and shop as it is near the Xi Men Ding area. You can choose pure beef soup noodles and choose which part of the bull you like, such as tendons, or trip I also decided to check out their beef stew version with works; combination of each part. You'll add stews to your clear soup with beef noodles and mix - I have to say that beef is pretty tender - drool be sure to add their beef bone marrow chili paste to enhance your experience of beef noodle soup - it's something really unique! Niu Dian ⽜店 No 91, Kunmen St, Wanghua District Taipei, Taiwan 108 Nearest MRT: Ximen Opens: 11.30am - 3:00pm, 5:00pm - 8.30pm Lin Dong Fan beef noodles 林東芳⽜⾁麵 If I didn't turn on this place of beef noodles, it would be #foodcrime. This place has a long history of being one of the most popular and respected Taiwanese beef noodles in Taipei. The place was so cramped it reminds me to have a pho in the cramped spaces in Hanoi, Vietnam. After choosing what type of beef soup you want, there are also side dishes for you to choose from, ranging from pickled vegetables, cucumbers and even pork ears! It's a complete package where broth, noodles and beef combine together to form a delicious combo - it's like Nyu Moo Wang (bull king demon) attacked you with a lot of hot combo to finish you off, if that's not enough, you can take a look at this chili paste made with a combination of beef drips and chili to add a more muscular spicy ommpph! Ooooh yeshh!! Lin Dong Fan Beef Noodles 林東芳⽜⾁麵 No. 274, BaDe Road, Section 2, DaAn District, Taipei City opens: 11:00 am - 6.30pm Nearest MRT: Chungxiao Fuxing Taiwanese Pork Chop Rice During My Taipei Trip, one of my friends from the Philippines @mmmluakian told me that Taiwanese pork Chop Rice is amazing! So I researched and found two famous Taiwanese pork chop agencies that ended up very close together so I could try both of them on the same run! Two of the most popular of them are 君悅排⾻Emperor Foods and 東排⾻ Dong Yi Pork Chop. 君悅排⾻衡陽店 Han Yang Branch of Emperor Foods happened to have a branch near Taipei Main Station, so it was a short walk from my hotel. If you have a large crowd, you can order their famous fried tofu or other dishes, but I only tasted their pork Chop Rice. I have to say the pork chop was really delicious! Kudos @mmmluakian recommend this place to me! The pork chop was flavored very well with a strong hint of five spices, crispy on the outside but not dry on the inside. It is well of salts as well as rice. Good full hearty food! 君悅排⾻衡陽店 37 Hengyang Road, Chungzhen District, Taipei, Taiwan, 100 Opens: 10:30 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. Nearest MRT: Taipei Main Station 東排⾻ Dong Yi Pork Chop Home Dong Yi Yii Gu is another Taiwanese Pork Chop Rice establishment that has been around since the 1970s. It is just a 6-minute walk from Emperor Foods. The atmosphere of the place looks like an old school Chinese dim dim restaurant, unlike Emperor Foods fast food is looking for a branch. Porkchop here is pretty good, but I give high marks to their side dishes, which go very well with the pork chop. If I were to appreciate the pork chop alone - Emperor Foods would win, but my overall satisfaction from the meal would come from Dong Yi! 東排⾻ Dong Yi Pork Chop Home Branch 61 Yanping South Road, Chungzhen District, Taipei, Taiwan, 100 Nearest METRO: Taipei Main Station opens: 11 a.m. - 8:15 p.m. Closes on Monday Taiwanese Hot Pot Culture If you were in Taipei and you didn't try their hot pot - people would yell at you for committing a food crime! There are many good places for a hot pot in Taipei, but if you have money to splurge, I suggest going to one with a good comfortable atmosphere and high quality ingredients. Elixir Health Pot 無⽼鍋 Wu Lao Go comes highly recommended by international food bloggers and foodies and I can see why. It may be more expensive than most, but they have very good service and atmosphere, and there are quite a few unique signatures that others don't have. I have good friends to do all the lighting for me to shoot my pic! LOL You can have so many ingredients to order from the menu and I think the best way to enjoy this is to come in medium and large groups! They have a ying yang hot pot that allows you to try two of their signature broths. White is not spicy creamy with Chinese herbs. This base is actually quite fragrant with a good creamy consistency because they have a secret ingredient called tofu ice cream (something I'll mention later) and their spicy version has a good kick to it, but doesn't sting and numb your taste buds. If you want to add more broth or you feel that the soup needs more oomph, call the staff and they will add more herbs to make it happen. This is! Signature frozen tofu ice cream is enough to make me come back here again and again and again! You basically cook them in milk broth for 6-8 minutes and they will have a very creamy tofu-like texture that is WINNERBALLS! Really nice feeling, wish I could have booked more, but they are expensive! Seriously no joke - their soup has an actual big piece of ginseng inside one - they actually give you calamansi lime slushies as a palette of detergents to give us a refreshing ending to the meal. They have a Japanese sushi bar where you have to stand and eat. It's a very popular place, so when you arrive - go straight to bar and take the room first - it was a rainy day when we went so we didn't have to queue for very long. Excited to enjoy sushi after we got our space to stand and lol! Serious sushi galore - it was reasonably priced and we filled our tummy with quality sushi! Ahhhh oiiishii!! After all sushi it's actually fun to walk around and watch all the fresh and lively seafood around the fish market area - I haven't taken many photos, but it's a sight to behold! If you have more money to burn - they have fried fresh seafood or shabu shabu where you can sit down and enjoy the meal. This is a seriously good place to not only enjoy the Japanese Yakitori, but also to have a mug of Japanese Orion Draft beer and chat with your buddies at night! Needless to say - yakoritori here is amazing! Whether you're drinking beer or want to try sake it's the perfect place in Taipei for it! FISH Seafood Restaurant ⿂苑船釣海鮮餐廳 Fish.fish is a restaurant that every seafood or fish lover should visit when in Taipei. Owner William himself is an expert fisherman and restaurant specializes in freshly caught seafood and fish. What's special here is that the fish are actually caught using fishing rods instead of nets. This suggests that the quality of fish pulp will be maintained unlike those that are overflowing together in fish nets where possible degradation may occur. The chef has worked in five-star restaurants in the hotel before and is able to cook fish in Chinese or Western style, like the above salt-crusted bake fish. There's also other notable dishes like this gorgeous salty yolk clay pot of tofu that was so good with rice! This restaurant also has plenty of non-seafood Taiwanese style dishes for you to try! In the modern commercialized era, it is very difficult to experience a fishing rod caught cooked and cooked by an experienced chef. William has a passion for fishing and cooking and combined this passion of it to serve the best quality seafood dishes. It was really nice to talk to him and get him to show his fishing rod collection as well as his freshly caught seafood! While this place is quite difficult to get to by public transport - it is about 20-25 minutes by taxi from Taipei's main station. Worth it if you want some good quality seafood - be sure to call and ask about the availability of seafood. Fish. In fact, their main branch on Yong Kang Street actually won a Michelin star and one of the main reasons is their good service and consistency in terms of quality despite the huge crowds! Get ready to take a room and then wait up to an hour or two as their main branch is packed with tourists from all over the world. I've tried many branches around the world and I have to say that I have the best experience in the industry - just take a room then walked down Yong Kang Street to pass my time while waiting. Don't forget to order their yam dumplings for dessert - one of my favorites! Their pan fried baos, sen-chien baos are really good and should try here! Xiao Long Baos here can really fight Ding Tai Fung - no joke - a pretty old school atmosphere too, and when we went during tea time he wasn't busy. A good place to come for a delicious xiao long baos! Kao Chi ⾼記 No 1 Yongkang Street, Taipei City, Taiwan Nearest MRT: Dongmen opens Mon-Fri 10am to 10.30pm, Sat-Sun 8.30am to 10.30pm Taiwanese cuisine while Taipei is famous for its street food and night markets - I really enjoyed them down on the land of home cooking in Taiwanese. Here are some of my favorites to dine at places for authentic Taiwanese cuisine. Slack Season Noodles Du Hsiao Yeh 度⼩⽉ Slack Season was started by a fisherman in Tainan whose Dan zel noodles was so successful that he quit being a fisherman to focus on business. Needless to say, this cozy Taiwanese style of Dan zi noodles is now a very popular place in Yong Kang A long story that begain in 1894! Their original branch is located in Tainan. You should try their noodle dan zai and enjoy it with other local Taiwanese dishes. Secret Secret Noodles came from this pot of meaty sauce that has been cooking for God knows how old! Lol! We had a side order of oyster fritters to enjoy noodles and yummers! Slack Season Noodles Du Hsiao Yeh 度⼩⽉ 9-1 Yongkang St, Taipei Nearest MRT: Dongmen Chien Hsiang Right next door to Slack Noodle Place, recommended by my local Taiwanese friend, so I just pop to taste them Bach Kua (pork jerky) and I was hooked - bought quite a lot home as souvenirs. Their thick ba kua (pork jerky) is delicious and I highly recommend you give them a try - taste them - then decide if you want to buy home, I love them to pieces! Chien Xiang next door to Slack Noodles. LU SANG Yi Lan Delicatessen Restaurant 呂桑⾷堂 Lu Sang specializes in Yi Lan home style dishes, and I felt it was a much better presentation for Taiwan than the night markets. I highly recommend this place as I have to eat in Taipei to feel how the locals eat. The recommended dish is Gao Cha (similar to fried tofu cubes) which is actually a chicken broth gelatinated into cubes, then deep-fried - tastes like a very silky creamy tofu, but better! There's also lip smacking good clams, silky chicken, sliced pork liver (ooooh yeshh), stir fried oysters and of course the iconic braised pork rice (ru lou fan). Simple on the ground Ru Lou Fan - braised pork rice - Pork liver served in slices - seriously yum! Stir the fried oysters - You can see the happy gourmet soul in me as I enjoyed this spread of Taiwanese cuisine! LU SANG Yi Lan Delicatessen Restaurant 呂桑⾷堂 No 12-5 Yong Kang St. Opens: 11:30 - 14:00, 17:00 - 9pm Nearest MRT: Dongmen Second Most Delicious Private Kitchen 第⼆好吃私房菜 Paul brought us to this restaurant, which is next to Shilin's , and we were very impressed with the food! Usually we have a phrase saying: If I say I'm number 2, no one would dare say they're number 1, but according to my research the boss says that the most delicious is still his grandmother's cooking. It's kind of like a bistro style restaurant where you have some dishes to enjoy with beer. They also have sashimi and hotpot from what I saw from other tables. The restaurant has now moved to a more strategic location and the address is being updated. This photo of the signage is a photo of their previous location. The dish that really impressed me was this egg dish. This simple dish is called a FRIED egg where they fry a few eggs together in very hot oil! This leads to a silky creamy egg! It takes a very good skill to cook this dish! Really great applause for the chef! These crispy fried pork tendons are just delicious and eye for me, since we usually steam them and steam them like dimsum! Hearty clam and pork ribs soup - we tried a few other dishes, but I'll leave it for you to check check out Restaurant on your own! Very recommended! A great place to have good food and drink lotes beer! The second most delicious private cuisine 第⼆好吃私房菜 No. 229, Jilin Road, Chungshan District, Taipei, Taiwan 111 Opens 11:30am-2pm, 5pm-10pm, closes Sunday Min Fu Restaurant 明福台菜海鮮 Min Fu restaurant has a long history in Taiwanese cuisine as a place to treat important guests or special occasions. The food served here is top notch, but also very expensive. If you have money to burn - this place is highly recommended. You can easily spend 750 to 800 SGD at table 10 if you order most of your specialties! Many people who have dined here before would say it is worth the quality. They are famous for their abalone sticky rice stuffed chicken, which is quite expensive, but it will seriously warm you up when you have a taste. You should pre-order this dish I think and it's about $180 - 200 bnd according to the exchange rate at the time I was trying. Some reviews online describe this as one of a kind of soup dish and I have to agree that it would be very difficult to find such a dish this is good. Another famous dish here is their version of Buddha Jumping Over the Wall (about 140 SGD), which has earned rave reviews online as well! Be sure to check that out! Smoked shark slices has a wonderful smoky taste, but doesn't taste dry. A very popular dish here as well. It's about 19-20 SGD Ooo juicy garlic soy oysters and DROOLS! Another dish that struck me was this sesame pork kidney and chicken egg - wait WHAT?! Testicles?! Yes! You heard that right - apparently it's a delicacy here, and my friends tricked me into eating one mindset was a different type of kidney, but my GOD is so buttery and deliciously cooked! I have to say that the Ming Fu restaurant really knows how to make spare parts/innards very well that it doesn't have the unpleasant taste usually associated with the insides. Super thumbs up this dish! About 40-50 SGD for this dish I think. The dessert was these crispy fried yam balls stuffed with red bean paste which was a really tasty end to our meal! So good! Ming Fu Restaurant 明福台菜海鮮 No. 18-1, Lane 137, Section 2, Chungshan North Road, Chungshan District, Taipei, Taiwan 10491 (easier to take a taxi especially as you are required to dine in large groups here) Nearest MRT: Min Wquan. Funny - this restaurant is one of our favorites, and the goose is very different from the fried style of Hong Kong, which can be quite The goose here tastes like it's smoked (I'm not 100 percent sure, sure they actually smoked it, but I taste smoke and it gives me that assumption that smoking is the method used here). As you can see - it looks very different from Hong Kong roasted goose. It's really good! Other notable dishes are GOOSE FAT RICE as well as goose liver, and how can you say no TO HOT AND SPICY GOOSE BLOOD CUBES!! OMG SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY! Their homemade pork sausages are really good, so be sure to order them too! We ordered almost everything on the menu and got to the wash-out. My fav was of course pork knuckle and pork belly, while the girls love dairy fish. Got pork? You will need to be early (maybe 10 minutes before opening times) if you do not want to wait very long, as with all the popular ramen places, there will be a long queue and wait. I arrived early and got the top spot with my wife and we loved how unique the ramen is. First, the broth is more on the side of MA LA, you can choose the level of spicy and ma-la, but I think the normal is good enough. Seriously good broth that fits well with the delicious charsiu I have to agree that this is something you can't even find in Japan! This numbness Mala feel with every slurp is really SIOK! The theme promotes the use of tea as a healthy ingredient in their cooking. You will find it fascinating how they managed to use different types of tea in their dishes. One example is their interpretation of classic Taiwanese beef noodles - using green tea noodles and using tea in making broth. You will also see quite a few desserts made using tea in the restaurant. Taste wise - it's more for a healthy side, and if you have friends who are interested to learn about healthy eating - bring them here. I have to say that the food here can be bland compared to other places listed in this guide. They've got quite a few affiliates strategically located as well, and I'm following them below. Cha for Tea 喫茶新饌 - Shop locator in Taiwan Gao Jia Village Mi Tai Mu ⾼家庄⽶苔⽬ (big after dinner club place) Gao Jia is a famous dinner spot for locals, and it is located in the KTV drinking area of Lin Sheng Bei Lu. Mi Tai Mu is basically a type of rice noodle similar to lau su fen, but the ones here have a nice and bouncy texture to it. The place also serves a few side dishes (some might even say the basic) to accompany Mi Tai Mu. Completely packed with people after 12am! You'll see their best sellers here - freshly cooked Taiwanese pork sausages, fried fish caviar, braised intestines, roasted pork hongsao, chopped squid and pork liver, I'll say they're pretty strong in terms of flavors and pretty filling for dinner, especially after late night clubs or a Taipei nightlife bar! I am rave about how delicious the rice is stewed pork, but chicken rice rice really good as well! As they are small portions of the bowl - it's easy to just order both and finish it and then walk around to try other kinds of street food, although I have to say that this kiosk will take all the attention. Fang Jia Lu Rou Fan ⽅家滷⾁饭 Night Market Ningxia, Ningxia Road, Datong District Nearest MRT: Shuanglian Station Chung Cheng Hao 忠誠號蚵仔煎 This place is the one you will need to queue to get a seat. This is the famous Taiwanese omelet place in the . While many raved about their oyster omelette, I believe that there are many who shook their heads when they tried it. It's loving it or hating it dish as some might not like the starchy goy texture of omelette oysters and the sauce may be too sweet for some. Personally, I don't really fancy this version and I'm more manageable to the ones I've had in Penang and Bangkok. Their crispy smelly tofu isn't bad, but I felt it wasn't smelly enough - as in most places I've been trying lately. It's almost impossible to find what looks like a good old fashioned very smelly smelly tofu in Taiwan. Let me know if you found anything smelly enough! LOL It was a dish that was worth the queue in my opinion - their starchy squid soup which has a very elastic squid texture and my fav in this kiosk. Chung Cheng Hao 忠誠號蚵仔煎 No. 15-32, Dadong Rd, Shilin District, Taipei City, Taiwan 111 Chung Mian Rice Noodles 阿宗麵線 I was actually very reluctant to include this in my Taipei food guide as it's another one of those to love it or hate his famous dishes. You have to queue for quite a long time for this and it is quite expensive for a starchy gooey small bowl of rice noodles. I find it pretty overrated and not worth my time, but there are some of my friends who actually craved this dish! So if you want to try it out, try it with an open heart - you can love it, or you might not I enter my preferred place further! Hot Star Big Fried Chicken 豪雞排 Just Next Mian Sian is another overrated popular food that You need to queue, but luckily the queues are pretty quick - it's basically XXL size breading chicken chops that are seriously as big or bigger than your face. For me it is normal for you to check it out, but I am not a big fan of this and I personally prefer fried chicken popcorn with basil leaves, which are popular in most night markets. Try it if you have the time, or if its convenient while you're around Xi Men Ding. Although, if you are in Kaoshiung, you should check out Angel Chicken Chop, which is better! Are you out of your mind? Well, before I start screaming and talking #foodcrime - I really think the food here is very good and I confess I had quite a few of them for dinner, especially at 4-5am in the morning because they are so comfortable and tasty! You can see this spread during the of our after-club sessions on the hotel rooftop Notice the onsen eggs? (eggs with perfect custard centers - yes, they sell those here!). They also have breakfast cupcakes that are similar to McDonald's! The Yammers! This is my favorite rice ball of all time at 7 Eleven! Almost every time I go to one - it's a must buy! So many options in terms of instant noodles to enjoy with delicious good drinks options, and there are alcoholic beverages if you want to make spicy cold noodles anyone? They even have MAPO TOFU RICE! They can heat it up on the counter for you, or can you heat it up in your hotel - Anyone for some stewed pork chop rice? Drools - Seriously human - even chicken wings and chicken legs also got Gyozas Taiyakis and pop corn chicken nuggets - you can see why 7 Eleven in Taipei are awesome?
