HISPASAT is leader in the distribution and broadcasting Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets. Over thirty million households receive the TV and radio contents broadcasted through HISPASAT satellites, located at 30ºW (Hispasat 1C, 1D and 1E) and 61ºW (Amazonas 1 and 2), with high penetration rates in the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America. HISPASAT offers more than 1,200 TV and radio channels on both sides of the Atlantic, of which over 200 are FTA broadcasted.

Europe Satellites at 30ºWest orbital position provide high quality communications in Spain and Portugal. HISPASAT satellite fleet is the first choice for DTH platform operators in Spanish and Portuguese speaking markets. Our high-powered satellites achieve strategic coverage in these areas and ensure a high quality service, enabling DTH platform operators to reach customers with an optimal media offer. More than three million households in the Iberia region receive television through HISPASAT satellites. Currently, 2 DTH platforms are broadcasted in Portugal -ZON TV and MEO TV- and Digital+ DTH platform is broadcasted over Spain. HISPASAT also transmit DTT signals, as distribution links, to feed the terrestrial transmitters for subsequent broadcasting digital TV service to the population. Furthermore, Hispasat offers a DTH service including the DTT channel offer - DTT SAT- to cover those areas unserved by the terrestrial technology.

Latin America HISPASAT is a leader in TV distribution in Latin America. Millions of households receive television through our satellites, in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, Venezuela and Colombia, besides the United States and Canada. “Amazonas” satellites, at 61°W, also broadcast platforms such as Claro TV, Media Networks and Oi over the whole Latin America. HISPASAT’s capacity to transmit over America makes the company the transatlantic satellite operator with the best and most extensive coverage to bring European programming to the American continent and American contents to Europe. The group has control infrastructures for the supervision of the satellite fleet from Earth. These control centers are responsible of the network well functioning and monitoring, ensuring the quality of service agreed with the clients and maximum reliability of the network.
