Upon arrival we’ll meet our motorcoach and make the drive to Nammbú Beachfront Bungalows in Puerto Carrillo, Guanacaste. Settle in and then join the group for a delicious welcome dinner this evening. Note: The airport location and airline will be confirmed no sooner than nine months before departure. DAY 2 GUANACASTE (Breakfast, Dinner) The day is yours to do as you wish! Relax on the beach, enjoy the infinity pool, or rejuvenate in the spa. Or explore the village of Puerto Carrillo with its authentic Tico culture, beaches, and available activities such as sport-fishing. The beautiful white-sand Playa Carillo has small waves most of the time and is popular with swimmers. Puerto Carrillo also offers beautiful and secluded small beaches near by, El Roble is a rocky beach with its own waterfall and tide pools. Playa El Sur is a beautiful medium-size beach surrounded by palm trees and is only accessible by boat. DAY 3 GUANACASTE (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Get ready to explore the jasmine flower waters of the Tempisque River in Palo Verde National Park. Be on the lookout for large crocodiles sunning themselves on the banks as we cruise and keep an eye on the trees for a glimpse of capuchin and howler monkeys swinging from the branches. With iguanas, parrots, and hundreds of other exotic birds making their home in the different ecological zones of the park there’s sure to be something exciting at every turn! Then it’s time to be immersed in the culture of the Chorotega people, beginning with a traditional lunch in a local home. This indigenous group is best known for their skill at crafting exquisite pottery, and we’ll have the opportunity to watch a demonstration of their artisan techniques. Consider taking home one of their pieces as an authentic and meaningful reminder of your experience! DAY 4 GUANACASTE (Breakfast, Dinner) It’s another day of relaxation or exploration, whichever you prefer! Consider taking the complimentary shuttle to the town of Sámara to shop and explore. The town offers pristine beaches and a number of opportunities for horseback riding, snorkeling, turtle nest viewing, and more. After a fun day, we will enjoy dinner as a group. DAY 5 GUANACASTE (Breakfast, Dinner) Our touring today is perfect for adventure lovers and the nature enthusiast! We’ll begin with a short trip on foot to a series of four zip line cables, continues with two rappel journeys, and ends with a long cable experience with amazing views. DAY 6 GUANACASTE (Breakfast, Dinner) Today is quieter and at your leisure after yesterday’s adventure. The complimentary shuttle to Sámara will be available again today for those who would like to go. Consider walking along Sámara Beach in search of exotic plants and animals, snorkeling at the stunning coral reef just offshore, or taking a boat to the gorgeous and remote Isla Chora.     DIAGNOSTICO REGION CHOROTEGA PERIODO 2019-2020 DISTRIBUCION DE LA REGION La Región Chorotega corresponde con la totalidad de la provincia de Guanacaste, la cual abarca un área total de 10.140 km2 (aproximadamente con un 20 % del territorio nacional) y más de 700 km de costa. La provincia de Guanacaste o Región Chorotega limita al norte con Nicaragua, al este con Alajuela, al sur con Puntarenas y al oeste con el Océano Pacífico (figura 1) y se extiende desde Peñas Blancas en la frontera norte con Nicaragua hasta Plata Coyote de Nandayure. Introduction Between 1983 and 1994 the company Bosque Puerto Carrillo purchased 3822 hectares of land on the Nicoya Peninsula. The properties bought were located in three areas.: The plantation “Puerto Carrillo” measures 1363 ha and is situated close to the Pacific coast behind the beach towns of Puerto Carrillo and Samara. The plantation “Palo Arco” measures 2124 is located some 30 kilometres southeast from Carrillo. The plantation can be reached by road from Jicaral-Coyote. The plantation “Moravia” measures 335 ha and is situated in the valley east of Palo Arco. The nearest village is Moravia (also called Zapote). The previous land use of the properties purchased, was almost exclusively extensive cattle ranching on the slopes and hills. In the flat areas of Palo Arco and Moravia the land was used for cattle ranching and to a lesser extent for the cultivation of maize, sorghum and rice. Approximately 2895 hectares of the properties were planted by Bosque Puerto Carrillo in the 1980’s and 90’s with teak (Tectona grandis) and the native species pochote (Pochota fendleri). Bosque Puerto Carrillo made significant investments in local infrastructure including among others bridges, houses, a landing strip and a 16.000 m2 flooring factory “Bosque Puerto Carrillo Industry S.A.”.
