The following webinar was organized by MGM University's Professor of Eminence, Dr Mark Lindley International webinar on Beethoven, and universal brotherhood

In 1931 a Nobel-Prize winner in literature, , told Gandhi, “You are the greatest soul of the 20th century, as Beethoven was of the 19th.” The webinar offers Indian and Western views as to whether Beethoven was really such a great soul. He was unquesonably a great musician, and he composed superb music championing universal brotherhood and triumph over dark forces. Excerpts from the music are featured in the webinar, and the last part of it presents, for purchase in print or free-of charge download data-wise (with no strings aached), a beauful lile book, Beethoven's Myscal Vision, wrien in the 1960s by Gandhi's devoted personal disciple (born in ), – whom Romain Rolland had steered in a Gandhian direcon in the mid-1920s.

7th May 2021 There are six main speakers in the webinar, as shown below:

A. Annamalai Marialena Fernandes Mark Lindley Director, Professor of Chamber Music, "Professor of Eminence", , University of Music and Performing Arts, MGM University, Aurangabad

Wolfgang Manz* K.M. Natarajan Martin Ullrich Professor of Piano, Distinguished senior Gandhian; Professor of Interdisciplinary Nuremberg University of Music Chairman, Music Research, Tamilnadu Gandhi Smarak Nidhi Nuremberg University of Music

*Professor Manz refers in his talk to an illness (probably syphilis) which during the latter half of Beethoven's life rendered him deaf and “more and more isolated from society”. (This tragic illness is mentioned here since it isn't mentioned in the earlier parts of the webinar.) Here is a link to an edited video (with charming endnotes) of the webinar:
