Initial Transport Assessment of Development Options
This subject paper is intended to be a research paper delving into different views and analyses from various sources. The views and analyses as contained in this paper are intended to stimulate public discussion and input to the planning process of the "HK2030 Study" and do not necessarily represent the views of the HKSARG. WORKING PAPER NO. 35 INITIAL TRANSPORT ASSESSMENT OF DEVELOPMENT OPTIONS Purpose 1. The purpose of this paper is to provide information on the reference transport demand forecasts, assessment of Reference Scenario and framework for option evaluations. Background 2. Under Stage 3 of the HK2030 Study, Development Scenario and Development Options are formulated. The Development Options are then subject to transport, economic, financial as well as environmental assessments. Under the integrated approach adopted for the Study, the transport requirements identified for the Development Options are also assessed in terms of the environmental, economic and financial implications in order that a meaningful comparison of the Development Options could be made. 3. Under the Reference Scenario, various development choices have been considered to satisfy the land requirements. They can broadly be categorised into two different options of development patterns, namely Decentralisation and Consolidation. The details are presented in the paper on Development Options under the Reference Scenario. Assessments have been carried out to identify the transport requirements of the two Development Options in 2010, 2020 and 2030. The findings are summarised in the following sections. Development Options 4. Under the Reference Scenario, the population in 2030 could be in the region of 9.2 million which is only marginally more than the population of 8.9 million for 2016 adopted in the previous strategic planning. -

Curbside pickup is available at the following stores, listed by county, beginning Monday, April 27. Most stores will support curbside service Monday through Saturday — taking a limited number of orders on a first-call, first-served basis beginning at 9 a.m. each day and scheduling pickup appointments between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. those days — but some stores will operate on more limited days and hours. Those stores operating on more limited schedules are identified within this list, ithw days and hours of operation provided. Curbside pickup orders will be limited to one order of no more than six bottles. Only one order will be accepted per caller, per store, per day. Callers will be guided by store staff through products available to purchase at each location. Payment by credit card will be required by phone, and all curbside pickup sales are final (no returns). We’re optimistic our capacity to fulfill orders through our website and curbside pickup will continue to increase, and we thank you for your continued patience and understanding. JUNE 2004 intermodal passenger system survey phaseiii A WORKING DOCUMENT DELAWARE VALLEY REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION Created in 1965, the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission (DVRPC) is an interstate, intercounty and intercity agency that provides continuing, comprehensive and coordinated planning to shape a vision for the future growth of the Delaware Valley region. The region includes Bucks, Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties, as well as the City of Philadelphia, in Pennsylvania; and Burlington, Camden, Gloucester and Mercer counties in New Jersey. DVRPC provides technical assistance and services; conducts high priority studies that respond to the requests and demands of member state and local governments; fosters cooperation among various constituents to forge a consensus on diverse regional issues; determines and meets the needs of the private sector; and practices public outreach efforts to promote two-way communication and public awareness of regional issues and the Commission. Our logo is adapted from the official DVRPC seal, and is designed as a stylized image of the Delaware Valley. The outer ring symbolizes the region as a whole, while the diagonal bar signifies the Delaware River. The two adjoining crescents represent the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of New Jersey. DVRPC is funded by a variety of funding sources including federal grants from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and Federal Transit Administration (FTA), the Pennsylvania and New Jersey departments of transportation, as well as by DVRPC’s state and local member governments. The authors, however, are solely responsible for its findings and conclusions, which may not represent the official views or policies of the funding agencies. -

The focus of the spring program was the history of SEPTA’s Chestnut Hill East line and consisted of a walking tour, highlighting the history and architecture of buildings and landscapes along the former Reading Railroad line. On Saturday, Nov. 9, the second program will be held, featuring the history of the Chestnut Hill West line. This document describes the service proposals suggested by the general public, government agencies, elected officials and Authority staff, and presents the technical and financial analyses that determine whether the proposals merit implementation. The Plan includes projects for City Transit and Suburban Transit. There are no proposals for Regional Rail. This year marks the 21st Annual Service Plan and its associated planning process. This and the previous efforts reflect SEPTA’s ongoing commitment to improve the performance and productivity of transit routes and regional rail lines through careful measurement of both ridership changes and operating cost based upon a numeric scoring methodology. This method, fully described for each proposal, includes measures for revenues, operating costs, and impacts to existing riders. Additionally, each proposal must meet minimum performance standards, adopted by the SEPTA Board, prior to review within the service plan process.
