Changes at Limited Brands for Further Growth in Accessories and Henri Bendel
Changes at Limited Brands For Further Growth in Accessories and Henri Bendel January 20, 2011 9:16 AM ET COLUMBUS, Ohio (Jan. 20, 2011) – Limited Brands (NYSE: LTD) announced today that Ed Bucciarelli, who joined the company in 2005 in the dual role of president of Limited Brands Accessories and chief executive officer of Henri Bendel, will now broaden his focus beyond Henri Bendel to help strengthen and expand accessories development. While Bucciarelli will still focus on the creative side of the brand, Limited Brands has hired Chris Fiore to join as president of Henri Bendel. Fiore will run day-to-day operations of the business. Chris brings experience in retail operations, brand development and international expansion from Lord & Taylor, Gap, Coach and, most recently, American Eagle. “Under Ed’s leadership the iconic brown and white stripes that Henri Bendel is known for have been seen in more cities and on more fashion-forward products than ever before,” said Leslie Wexner, chairman and chief executive officer of Limited Brands. “We want that growth trajectory to continue at Henri Bendel while strengthening our accessories business internationally. With Ed focused on the new and the next, and Chris – who has a tremendous leadership track record – shepherding Henri Bendel, we are well-positioned for further success.” “This is perfect,” said Bucciarelli. “Bringing on Chris – a former president of Coach retail – to run the daily operations of Henri Bendel allows me to further extend the sophisticated Henri Bendel collection and also to develop creative accessories that capture the world through our growing international presence.” In addition to the 5th Avenue flagship Henri Bendel store in New York City, the company owns and operates 10 Henri Bendel accessories stores in prestige malls in California, Florida, Michigan, New Jersey, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas, with plans to open additional locations in 2011. -
