Southern Italy Sorrento Naples Capri Pompeii Amalfi Rome November 1-9, 2013 Our Daily Itinerary: (subject to change): 9-Day Tour Includes: Day 1: Depart USA Roundtrip Airfare from NY We depart the USA on our overnight, transatlantic flight to Italy. Seven (7) Nights Accommodation Meals and snacks are served on board. Luxury Motor Coach Throughout Professional Tour Manager Day 2: Arrival Italy - Sorrento Breakfast Daily Upon arrival at the airport in Italy, we are greeted by our World Welcome Dinner Cultural Tours representative and escorted to our private motor coach. Five (5) Additional Dinners We depart the airport and transfer to our hotel in Sorrento for Farewell Dinner check-in. This afternoon, we enjoy a guided walking orientation tour Sightseeing per Itinerary of Sorrento, the famous resort town of orange and lemon groves. We Wine & Cheese Tasting gather for our Welcome Dinner this evening at our hotel. (D) Hotel Bristol or similar $2,249 P/P Dbl. Occ. (Plus Air Taxes, Day 3: Sorrento Pending Air Confirmation) After a pleasant breakfast at the hotel, we depart by motor coach for a visit to the Correale Museum, renowned in the area for its art collection, antique furniture, china and inlaid woodwork. Later this afternoon, we enjoy a visit to Le Colline di Sorrento, for a wine and cheese tasting and the opportunity to study the farming and harvesting process in the region. Tonight, we dine together at a local restaurant. (B, D) Hotel Bristol or similar Day 4: Sorrento - Naples - Pompeii - Sorrento A busy day begins after breakfast when we depart for a guided excursion to Naples and Pompeii. Our guided tour of the southern capital of Naples highlights its historical center along with Santa Lucia, the Royal Palace, San Carlo Theater, Castel Nuovo, the seafront promenade and Capodimonte Hill. Day 5: Sorrento - Amalfi Drive - Sorrento After breakfast, we depart for a full day guided excursion along the Amalfi Coast. This morning, we stop briefly in Positano, one of the most beautiful stretches of coastline in the Province of Salerno and located at the center of the gulf formed by Point Germano and Cape Sottile. Here, we have some leisure time to explore the area on our own. We continue to Ravello, situated on a mountain over looking the coast of Maori to Amalfi. We enjoy the afternoon at leisure to shop or relax at one of the town’s many sidewalk cafes prior to our return to Sorrento. We dine together at our hotel this evening. (B, D) Hotel Bristol or similar Day 6: Sorrento - Capri - Sorrento This morning after breakfast, we board the hydrofoil for a full day visit to the legendary exotic Isle of Capri. Upon arrival at Marina Grande (Port of Capri), we visit the fabled Blue Grotto (weather permitting), followed by a scenic funicular ride, ascending to the village of Capri, which is built around the world-famous Piazzetta. We have the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the charming shops and exquisite sights of the Isle on our own. Early this evening, we ride the hydrofoil back to Sorrento. We dine together at a local restaurant this evening. (B, D) Hotel Bristol or similar Day 7: Sorrento - Rome Following breakfast this morning, we depart Sorrento and transfer to Rome, enjoying a panoramic tour of the countryside en route. Upon arrival in Rome, we have lunch on our own. This afternoon, we have a guided tour of Ancient Rome including visits to the Coliseum, Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill. We dine together at our hotel this evening. (B, D) Hotel Universo or similar Day 8: Rome/Optional Vatican Tour This morning after breakfast, we enjoy the day at leisure for independent sightseeing, shopping and relaxing or we may choose to participate in an optional guided tour of Vatican City, including the Vatican Museums, which display an extensive collection of public art and sculptures of the Roman Catholic Church; the breathtaking Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica, considered one of Rome’s most famous churches and home to Michelangelo’s statue of La Pieta. We stop for lunch on our own before continuing with a visit to the Borghese Gallery. We gather for our Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant this evening. (B, D) Hotel Universo or similar Day 9: Depart Italy - Arrive USA After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our return flight to the USA. (B) TERMS & CONDITIONS RESPONSIBILITY: A VALID PASSPORT IS REQUIRED FOR ALL INTERNATIONAL TRAVELERS and must be valid at least six months after your tour return date. Please note that passport cards are not considered valid for international travel. For domestic travel within the continental USA, a passport is not required for US Citizens, however an unexpired form of local or federal government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, military ID) is required for all adult passengers (18 and over). ▪ Please send – with each deposit and registration form – a copy of each registrant’s passport (or government-issued photo ID for domestic tours), if applicable. A TRAVEL VISA MAY BE REQUIRED FOR NON-US CITIZENS (TRAVELERS WITHOUT AN AMERICAN PASSPORT), who are traveling internationally. It is the responsibility of the traveler to contact the embassy of any countries that will be visited during the tour (including countries visited during flight layovers) to determine whether a travel visa is required, and for further information about the application process. Any visas must be obtained as the sole responsibility of the individual traveler. If you need a travel visa, World Cultural Tours (WCT) requires that you submit written verification that a visa has been obtained or a photocopy of your visa, no later than 15 days prior to the departure date of your tour. ▪ World Cultural Tours (WCT) and other participating affiliates act solely as agents in arranging transportation, hotel accommodations, and other services. We do not assume, and in fact, we ex- pressly disclaim, any liability for injury, damage, loss, accident, consequences resulting from cancellations and/or delays including, but not limited to, schedule changes, strikes, war, political conflict, riots, inclement weather or acts of God. Likewise, we assume no liability for any act, negligence or default of tour guides, including their agents and employees, or any company or person engaged in the transport of passengers, rendering of any service, or conducting arrangements for any tour. WCT reserves the right to cancel any tour due to insufficient participation. Furthermore, WCT reserves the right, at our sole discretion, to modify any itinerary or arrangements based on unprecedented situations that may arise. In the event modifications should become necessary, alterations may be made without penalty to the operator; additional costs, if any, shall be incurred by the traveler. ▪ All registrants are invoiced with single occupancy rates if no roommate is specified. We will adjust rooming lists & invoices accordingly upon written notification of roommate preferences. It is the responsibility of the individual traveler to find a roommate, or group organizer to match unpaired individuals. DEVIATION: If any passenger wishes to deviate from the group by extending their tour or by making any alterations to the included group travel arrangements, please visit www.worldculturaltours.com to submit a Deviation Request through our Contact Us page or by emailing [email protected]. Include as much information as possible in each request. A non-refundable deviation administration fee ($150 P/P) applies, plus any additional fees charged by the airline, and may be submitted online at www.worldculturaltours.com no later than 75 days prior to departure. A Tour Consultant will contact you, therefore it is important to include telephone and or email information. If any passenger chooses to make their own air arrangements, they must notify World Cultural Tours in writing, no later than 75 days prior to departure. LAND-ONLY ARRANGEMENTS: If you plan on making your own air arrangements, you must notify World Cultural Tours in writing, no later than 91 days prior to departure. All travelers are responsible for any travel arrangements not included in the tour program, including round trip arrival and departure transfers and any arrangements necessary to join the group at their first hotel accommodation. Your final invoice will reflect any applicable adjustments to the tour price. INSURANCE: We strongly recommend travel insurance. We are happy to provide information for travel insurance.
