Milton Keynes Council established in its Core Strategy a target of delivering 28,000 homes in the period from 2010 to 2026; an average of 1,750 homes per year. This target is split 26,240 in the urban area and 1,760 across the rural rest of the Borough. 1.2 There is a need to ensure that there is choice and flexibility in land supply across the Borough. This will help maintain completion rates and enable the Council to demonstrate it has a five year supply of land, which is a strict government requirement. Problems with this can arise because, despite there being enough land available, it is not being built out quickly enough to meet the Core Strategy’s annual housing targets. -

EVENLEY PARISH COUNCIL Minutes of the Evenley Parish Council Annual Meeting held on Monday 20th April 2015 at 7:30pm in the Village Hall. Present: Alan Thornhill (Chair), Jean Morgan, Jackie Fox, Jill Kelly, Mike Bosher, Michael Genner, Kirsty Buttle (Clerk), County Cllr Ron Sawbridge, District Cllr John Townsend, Helen Howard (Northamptonshire Highways), Chris Wragg (Northamptonshire Highways), Kay Baul (Evenley Residents Association). Also present were 22 parishioners. 1. Apologies - Apologies were received from Keith Cousins, Kevin O’Reagan, Carrie O’Reagan. Mike Bosher will be late. 2. Minutes of previous Annual Parish Meeting held on 7th April 2014 were approved. 3. Matters arising – No matters were raised. 4. Report from Cllr Ron Sawbridge, Northamptonshire County Council - The present method of the council providing services is no longer sustainable; it can’t keep on reducing costs by improving efficiency in the way it has done over the last few years. Costs of the base budget have already been reduced by £200m and they still have to reduce by a further £148m over the next five years. A continuation of the present method of providing services would drastically reduce the quality to an unacceptable level. The council will need to become a much smaller organisation commissioning other agencies to carry out activities to help the council achieve its goals for residents. The County Council will dramatically reduce the number of employees down to around 250, commissioning services from a federation of organisations including private businesses, Social Enterprises, Mutuals, Council owned companies, and Charities. The intention will be to transfer as many existing staff as is possible to the new providers. -

General Context Milton Keynes Council 1 General Context Picture 1 St Peter and St Paul's from Tickford Bridge Introduction 1.1 Conservation areas are places of special architectural or historic interest, the character or appearance of which it is desirable to preserve or Newport Pagnell Conservation Area Review enhance(1). Newport Pagnell was first designated as a conservation area by Buckinghamshire County Council in 1969 and last reviewed in 1996. In 2009 the conservation area was extended to include the surviving former Aston Martin works buildings on Tickford Street. Map 1 'Newport Pagnell: Conservation Area Boundary and Listed Buildings' shows the extent of the revised boundary. BRITISH WATERWAYS BOARD GENERAL CANAL BYE-LAWS 1965 BRITISH WATERWAYS BOARD BYE-LAWS ____________________ for regulation of the canals belonging to or under the control of the British Waterways Board (other than the canals specified in Bye-law 1) made pursuant to the powers of the British Transport Commission Act, 1954. (N.B. – The sub-headings and marginal notes do not form part of these Bye-laws). Application of Bye-laws Application of 1. These Bye-laws shall apply to every canal or inland navigation in Bye-Laws England and Wales belonging to or under the control of the British Waterways Board except the following canals: - (a) The Lee and Stort Navigation (b) the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal (c) the River Severn Navigation which are more particularly defined in the Schedule hereto. Provided that where the provisions of any of these Bye-laws are limited by such Bye-law to any particular canal or locality then such Bye-law shall apply only to such canal or locality to which it is so limited. These Bye-laws shall come into operation at the expiration of twenty-eight days after their confirmation by the Minister of Transport as from which date all existing Bye-laws applicable to the canals and inland navigations to which these Bye-laws apply (other than those made under the Explosives Act 1875, and the Petroleum (Consolidation) Act 1928) shall cease to have effect, without prejudice to the validity of anything done thereunder or to any liability incurred in respect of any act or omission before the date of coming into operation of these Bye-laws. -

PUBLIC NOTICE THE COUNCIL OF THE BOROUGH OF MILTON KEYNES (WOLVERTON ROAD, NEWPORT PAGNELL) (TEMPORARY CLOSURE) ORDER 2021 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Milton Keynes has on 8th June 2021 made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the above-named Order will be to temporarily prohibit vehicles from entering, waiting or proceeding along Wolverton Road, Newport Pagnell (at the M1 bridge) between Little Linford Lane roundabout and Giffard Park Roundabout. in order to enable Highways England to carry out the following essential works as part of the ‘M1 T3 smart motorway’ project: (1) Installation of temporary protection above the road, (2) Installation of environmental barrier panels to the bridge parapets, (3) Removal of the temporary protection above the road and in the interest of public safety. The affected length of road will be closed between the hours of 9:30am and 4:30pm every day (Monday to Friday) between 14th June 2021 and 9th July 2021. The road will be re-opened to the public during the hours of 4:30pm and 9:30am (Monday – Friday) and fully opened at weekends. Alternative routes (whilst Wolverton Road is closed): Motorists: The alternative route will be via Brickhill Street (V10), Monks Way (H3) and Marsh End Road (Vice Versa).
