HSI'S DOG MANAGEMENT AND MASS VACCINATION PROGRAMS ACROSS INDIA, BHUTAN, THE PHILIPPINES, BANGLADESH AND NEPAL HAVE RESULTED IN STERILIZING OVER 12,000 DOGS AND VACCINATING OVER 33,000 DOGS THROUGH EIGHT PROJECTS IN INDIA (BOTH LONG- AND SHORT-TERM) AND ONE PROJECT IN EACH OF THE OTHER COUNTRIES. HSI HAS PERMANENTLY CLOSED NINE DOG MEAT FARMS IN SOUTH KOREA SINCE 2014, AND HAS RESCUED AND REHOMED OVER 1,000 DOGS FROM THESE FARMS. SOUTH KOREAN PRESIDENT MOON ADOPTED A RESCUE DOG FROM THE MEAT TRADE. A CAMPAIGN TO END THE DOG MEAT TRADE HAS NOW BEEN LAUNCHED IN INDONESIA.
