Inauguration of Bhasma Unit Section

Inauguration ceremony of ‘Bhasma Unit Section’ of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust took place on 25th August 2009. The ‘Bhasma Unit Project’ is a joint venture of Atharva Pharmacy and Rasashastra department of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust’s Ayurved College. This section is specially designed to prepare Bhasma on a large scale. On this occasion, Vd. Shashank Karambelkar performed Pooja in praise of Lord . After the pooja, Vd. Vivek Sane, an eminent personality in the field of performed the preparatory procedure for Mouktika Bhasma as a mark of initiation of the Bhasma project. The implements and machines like Khalwa Yantras (mortar and pestle) used in preparation of bhasmas were also worshipped. Vd. Mr. Suhas Kulkarni, Vd. Mr. Sukumar Sardeshmukh, Vd. Ms. Jyoti Badave and Vd. Ms. Nilambari Patil have an enormous contribution in this project. Guidance of Vd. Mrs. Hirlekar and Vd. Mr. Vivek Sane proved to be of great value. Vd. Vivek Sane was felicitated by Vd. Suhas Kulkarni on behalf of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust. Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh, Mrs. Sarita S. Sardeshmukh, Pandit C. P. Sardeshmukh and Mrs. Pooja C. Sardeshmukh, all the teaching and non teaching staff, research workers and hospital staff graced the occasion.

Rishi Panchami, an Indian festival on the fifth day after the new moon in the Bhadrapada month (August-Sepetmber) is of great significance in India. On this day, homage is paid to the Sapta - the seven sages - , , , , Gautama, and Vashishtha. Dr. Chandrakant Sardeshmukh, International Sitarvadak & Executive trustee of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust who was a part of the 11 Rishis was honoured and felicitated by “Sharada Dnyanapeetham” on the auspicious day of Panchami, 24th August 2009. The other well known personalities felicitated were Freedom fighter - Kamaltai Bhagawat, Founder of Vanrai - Mohan Dhariya, Senior Sculpturist - D. S. Khatavakar, Vocalist - Mauli Takalkar, Founder of Swatantra Bharat - Sharad Joshi, Journalist - Keshavrao Javadekar, Librarian - Vishnupant Mehendale, Social worker - Indutai Bavare, Commentator - Dattatraya Rabade, Dnyanayogi - Rukminibai Modak. All these dignitories were felicitated with momento, mahavastra and shreephala by the hands of Dr. Deepak Tilak. Shri. Prasanna Venkatachraya Chaturvediswami, founder of Shri Ramanujam Mission Trust of Chennai, Dr. Vijay Bhatkar, Chairman of Sharada Dnyanapeetham graced the occasion. Dr. Dipak Tilak in his speech, praised the work and contribution of these personalities in their respective fields. He said that people who work selflessly for the betterment of the society are like Rishis (sages). Shri Chaturvedi Swami spoke about the Rishi tradition in his eloquent ways to reach this position one needs to be dedicated, have an aim for life and pursue the same. Dr. Vijay Bhatkar said that this activity aims to bring awareness amongst the society and the work of these dignitaries proves a guidance and paves a pathway for the society to tread upon. The programme was conducted by Pandit Vasantrao Gadgil, founder of Sharada Dnyanapeetham.

Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust 2 Vishvashanti Vrittant - October 2009 Lecture on Ayurved in Australia Nowadays people all over the world are showing interest in learning Ayurvedic concepts & practicing Ayurved in day to day life. Dr. Julliette Parkin, Director of Ayurvedic Health Center, Adelaide, Australia had invited Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh (Principal of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust's Ayurved College, Wagholi & Director of Cancer Research Center) and Dr. Sukumar Sardeshmukh (Marketing & Exports executive of Atharva Ayurved Pharmaceuticals) between 8th July 09 to 16th July 09 at Adelaide. Dr. Sukumar Sardeshmukh delivered lectures on “Introduction of Ayurved”, “Ayurvedic Diet” and “Insomnia – Mental Stress & The effect of Jatamansi Oil”. 50 participants attended the lecture. All of them were enthusiastic to know and understand the basic concepts of Ayurved. The lecture was followed by discussion with Dr. S. P. Sardeshmukh. Dr. Julliette Parkin & Dr. Vineeta Deshmukh, H.O.D. of Cancer Research Center, contributed & co-operated a lot for the lecture.

Lecture on Swine Flu A lecture on Swine Flu was conducted at Dnyanankur Primary English School, Kesanand on 25th September 2009.This lecture was conducted so as to give scientific information about Swine Flu to the teaching staff and parents. This lecture was delivered by Vd. Praffulla Kottalwar of Swasthavritta dept. of Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust's Ayurved College, Wagholi. Vd. Kottalwar clarified the doubts asked by the audience and also described the disease from Ayurvedic point of view. This programme gave a guideline for the awareness of the disease Swine Flu.

Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust 3 Vishvashanti Vrittant - October 2009 Ganeshostav 2009

Ganeshotsav 2009 was celebrated at Bharatiya Sanskriti Darshan Trust’s, Ayurved College, Wagholi during 23rd - 27th August 2009. “Pranapratishthapana” of Ganesh idol was done by Mr. Yogesh Bendre - a 2nd year B.A.M.S student. On 25th August “Ganesh Yag” was performed for the first time in college. On this occasion “” was arranged. The religious holy rituals were performed by Vd. Dharmadhikari, H.O.D. Kayachikitsa, Ayurved Ganesh Pooja College, Wagholi and Mrs. Dharmadhikari. The Ganesh Yaga ceremony which lasted for 3 to 4 hours made the environment very holy and peaceful. On 26th August “Satyanarayan Pooja” was performed by Vd. Mr. Mayuresh Agte and Vd. Mrs. Ashwini M. Agte, lecturers of Ayurved college, Wagholi in Dravyaguna department and Sharir Rachana department respectively. After this Pooja, Sahastravartan of Atharvashirsha was conducted. All teaching, non teaching staff and students participated in this event. Visarjan ceremony of Ganesh idol took place on 27th August. The event was made cheerful and graceful due to participation of all.
