ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 WEST BERKSHIRE DISTRICT COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS) (IN THE PARISHES OF, BURGHFIELD, HOLYBROOK, MORTIMER, THEALE, TILEHURST AND UFTON NERVET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING AND WAITING) ORDER 2017 West Berkshire District Council INTENDS, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order in accordance with Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in any direction over the roads listed in the Schedule for the extents shown. Where necessary waiting is also prohibited for the duration of the closure and twenty four hours before on the lengths of closed roads and their diversion routes (or works if the task can be completed without a full closure). The purpose of this Order is to enable works to be executed on or near the road, namely carriageway resurfacing or drainage works. The proposed Order will come into effect on 06th April 2017 and the work will be completed in a rolling program of closures in the following eighteen months. Dates and times of all closures will be advertised locally on site when the programme of works is agreed, together with diversion routes. Where disruption is envisaged affected residents will be contacted with further information in good time prior to the works. The Order shall not take effect until signs in accordance with The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 have been erected. Dated: 16th March 2017.
