WEST DISTRICT COUNCIL UNDER SECTION 14/1 OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 DISTRICT COUNCIL (THE COUNCIL) INTENDS TO MAKE ORDERS AS FOLLOWING ( HILL & ROAD (A340), PANGBOURNE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TURNING) ORDER 2020 The Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make an order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding north bound along Tidmarsh Road (A340) in Pangbourne from turning left into Pangbourne Hill, furthermore, this order also prohibits any vehicle proceeding along Pangbourne Hill, in Pangbourne, from turning left into Road from its junction. The alternative routes for all vehicles affected by the Order will be advertised on site. The purpose of this Order is to enable works to take place on or near the highway, namely for contractors to carry out sewer cleaning within the carriageway The proposed Order will come into effect on 17th August 2020. It is envisaged that this turning restriction will be in place during the hours of 22:00 to 05:30, between 19th and 20th October 2020. (VARIOUS ROADS, VARIOUS PARISHES/TOWNS) (TEMPORARY 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION) (HIGHWAYS MAINTENANCE WORKS) ORDER 2020 The Council has made, an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from exceeding 30mph in any direction of the roads listed in the Schedule below. This is to prevent any potential danger to the public or the workforce during highways maintenance works included in this order. The proposed Order will come into effect on Monday 10th August 2020. The exact date(s) of any speed restriction will be advertised on site prior to the work taking place.
