    Clarence Darrow Timeline of His Life and Legal Career Michael Hannon (2010) Clarence Seward Darrow was born on April 18, 1857 in Farmdale, Ohio. Farmdale is a small community in southwestern Kinsman which is one of twenty-four townships in Trumbull County, Ohio. His parents were Ammirus Darrow1 and Emily (Eddy) Darrow. He spent most of his childhood in Kinsman. His mother chose the name Clarence. It was an early example of the work of fate that he could not control: Where they found the name to which I have answered so many years I never knew. Perhaps my mother read a story where a minor character was called Clarence, but I fancy I have not turned out to be anything like him. Segal Myrtle Jean Hale has almost no quite moments; watching him is waiting for him to erupt. But he always remains somehow likable, probably because no one in Massacre is particularly likable.
