QTSW APR14.Pdf By Perry Nelson Well here I sit, finally at the computer! I’ve been trying to get our “Sonya Trike” (ST) a tribute bike to our disabled daughter, finished in time for the Torch Ride. The ‘Torch Ride 2014’ is a motorcycle run put on by Chester’s Harley Davidson, Arizona Law Enforcement , Walmart and Phoenix Bike Fest that benefits Special Olympics Arizona (SOAZ) athletes. On April 5th during bike week here in Arizona, the Torch Ride starts at Chester’s Harley Davidson and with a police escort, goes to Wild Horse Pass (Phoenix Bikefest). Wish us luck in getting the Sonya Trike done in time for the Torch Ride! > that’s right I said us > just like us at QT Magazine > Traci and I work together at building and modifying Motorcycles. This one (ST) is particularly special because it’s for our daughter and all severely disabled kids and adults. Sonya has CP (Cerebral Palsy) she doesn’t talk, but she knows how to smile and she smiled big when we took her for a ride on a trike last Look for us at Chester’s Harley Davidson : year. That’s when we decided on this build. www.chestershd.com SATURDAY On the sides of the “Sonya Trike” tank it will $25 Single Rider- $45 Rider + Passenger read “WE SPEAK FOR HER”. On the bike’s trunk it Includes Pin & Pancake Breakfast Registration: 8am, Breakfast: 9am, APRIL 5TH will read “WE ARE SONYA’S VOICE”. Cute right? You WWW.2014TORCHRIDE.KINTERA.ORG Kickstands up @10am may think differently when you see the Sonya Trike. This 100%Proceeds benefit SOAZ Athletes! Trike will be far from cute. Right? 922 S. The Tarmac Cowboys: An Ethnographic Study of the Cultural World of Boy Racers By Zannagh Hatton Abstract Through my varying degrees of engagement with the street car culture which existed around the area where 1 lived in Comwall, 1 had become aware of the extent to which cars played an important role and represented the norm of daily discourse, entered into by others, and particularly young men. Yet as one of the dominant forms of mobility, the car appears to have been a neglected topic within sociology, cultural studies and related disciplines. Furthermore, 1 was unable to find a great deal of academic literature on the combined subjects of young men and motorcars, and in particular how consumption of the car and car related activities are used by some young men to express self-definition. This ethnographic study which has examined the cultural world of boy racers aged between 17 and 24 years is the result of my enquiry.

  • Day 2 We Met up with Hughy, a Friend of Randy and Carols from Washington in AM Before We Left Pendleton
Rat Bike Run st th August 1 thru September 4 2003 As seen through the Authors eyes; MILO ANDERSON Day1 August 1, 2003. I, Milo Anderson, my wife Joni Anderson, Randy and Carol Fergusen, Mitch and Jan Myers, Gino Benidetti, Bonnie Fender and Gordon Spezza left on our trip to Sturgis South Dakota. I was on my 1970 Shovelhead Rat Bike that I’ve been riding for 28 years. Joni was on her 2003 Heritage Soft Tail Classic. Randy was on his 2002 Soft Tail Deuce. Carol was on her 1999 Road King Classic. Gino and Bonnie were on his ’90 Springer. Mitch and Jan were on his ’95 Soft Tail and Gordon was driving the C & R Stripping truck and trailer with his 1978 Low Rider in back. We made it to Pendleton OR for the first day. It was also to be the day of the closest near tragedy of the whole trip. Joni, my wife, was going through a sweeping left hand corner with the river on the right side of the road. Her foot board bracket was scraping the asphalt in the middle of the turn. She looked down to see what was scrapping and when she looked up again she went straight off the road and into gravel. It was pretty scary for her, as well as for Mitch and Jan who were riding behind her. At approximately 40 MPH she had the back wheel try to slide out in the gravel and was sliding sideways. Joni remembers what we have told her in the past.

  • Introduction to R&C Database Compilation & Index
Introduction to R&C Database Compilation & Index I have a long history and fondness for Rod & Custom magazine. This is the first magazine I purchased at age 10, and I’ve been hooked ever since. I often refer back to my collection, but find it hard to quickly lay my hands on a given article. This is for fellow HAMB members who share a love for this little magazine. This Index covers Rod & Custom Magazine from May 1953 through May 1974. I stopped at 1974 since R&C went out of print then. R&C was restarted in December 1988 and lasted until October 2014. This index is created for general reference, technical reference, research, tracing automobile histories, and genealogy. I have attempted to use a consistent categorization or article grouping scheme across all 20+ years, even though editors or previous compilations may not have used this convention. This index contains the following specific information: Title of each article along with a descriptive supplement such as club affiliation, noted customizers, past owners, professions, etc. The author’s and/or photographer’s name where space allowed. Featured vehicle year, make, model, & engine and/or engine displacement where available or where space allowed. Vehicle owner name, city and state. Where the country is other than the United States, I listed the country Product manufacturer name, city and state. Address may be included if space allowed. The month and page number of each feature article or photograph. The index is sorted by year, and a title at the top of each page indicates which year.

CCC Newsletter # 03-14 Well happy March Everyone! I hope you're all enjoying your classics as much as I'm enjoying mine. I got one of mine out for the first time since last Summer! Started it up without much trouble, but after driving it for a bit remembered why I put it away. Really need to work on the shift linkage so I can figure out what gear I might be going into. Oh well, that's why we love our classics . because they always need us.
